Why I Cancelled my X Subscription

It was mid September in 2023, when I decided to subscribe for Twitter verification.

I wrote a tutorial back then and I explained the reasons why I chose to verify, paying almost 10 Euros per month.

Months have passed, and yesterday - I decided to cancel the next renewal that would take place on the 16th of February.

Why?

Because I failed to do the experiment I wanted to do. I failed to organize my time accordingly, to make regular posts and interactions on X. I failed to see if a subscription would increase my reach, and views and potentially create a new income stream.

There was one thing that I enjoyed however.

I liked the fact that I could write longer posts, I enjoyed the perks and I think that it does add a certain 'prestige' in the platform.

If you wonder if I will be joining the verified users in the future, I plan to do so but only after I will have organized my time accordingly.

For the moment I am only keeping the subscriptions for InLeo Premium

And Medium FOM (Friend of Medium) for $15 a month

How about you?

What kind of subscriptions to you have, and what is your opinion on the X subscription?

Thanks for stopping by!

I once thought of doing an X subscription and afterwards, I changed my mind because of how choked my time is.

You didn't fail. You just weren't ready. It may take some time but you'll get there. 👍👍

I have InLeo Premium for this Month. I give it a try, but I like ecency much more.

I don't User X.

I still keep my X Premium because it provides me more outreach, so I'm leveraging it to grow my personality out there. I am more active, so that's why. I totally get that you haven't using it much.

I seriously considered X premium, but decided against it.

In general, I think "premium services" are only useful if you have a singular dedicated "business plan" with whatever you are into.

If you're more of a "browser" in terms of both content creation and content consumption, it's likely just a waste of money.

I have canceled all premium services because I have failed to realize the benefit. If I just had ONE business, and that was all I ever spent my time with, I would probably get my money's worth out of it.

At the moment, I have a (gifted to me) INLEO premium subscription, and I am using that free month to test the assurances I have had that it will "pay for itself."

But that's just me. I'm only interested in participation where the perceived benefit is greater than the expense.

=^..^=

I’ve never had a X subscription but I know people love it because they can make longer posts
I think that’s cool though

I haven't taken any subscription yet but now I'm thinking to strengthen my account as monetization is being opened.
