Why I will start a 'Introduction to Crypto' course

My brother will celebrate his birthday in a few months. He is getting one year older (sic) and he has started to get that feeling .. "what have I done" etc etc

As we were discussing a few days ago, I again was stating to him how angry I am at him, because he did not even try to get into crypto with me so I could never ask for his support or help if I needed anything. I dont know if he was too bored, too negligent, too busy wanting to live his life without thinking too much, but that was his choice.

This time I told him. "If you are feeling you are getting older, then make this birthday unique, and create a milestone that is worth to be celebrated"

"Try something unique, start a new skill, do something challenging and see what happens"

That's what I told him and then we continued talking about crypto and about AI. He finally understood how AI can help him do somethings in his work easier and more quickly. I think that the main issue with the crypto - blockchain and the reason it has not gone mainstream after all these years is the fact that people do not see it as relevant with their lives.

Think about it.

Someone who has a work 9 - 5,6,7,8,8 in the evening. A whole family to take care of, a full life to be busy and their free time is spent relaxing (i.e. on social media or whatever), then why would they care about blockchain? This is a brand new 'skill' I would say and it needs time, it needs research.

What happened after Internet was released to the public? It took sometime until it became relevant. It took time until people started to realize its potential and how it could help them do things better or do new things.

This is the reason why AI (mostly referring to the GPT launch here) developed so rapidly! Everyone could join and simply talk to that thing without so much effort!

I have been trying to discuss crypto with many people. Most of them did not care even to continue the conversation. Some of them out of ignorance, and some others because they thought they already knew what there was to know ("Oh, you mean like the stock market? Where people lose their money?")

Well, I ll say this favorite proverb of mine once more

Don't try to wake up someone who is pretending to be sleeping.

So, after all this long prologue, I have an announcement to make!

I will be launching a very short, very easy to comprehend, crypto currency course.
Initially in English and then in Greek.

This will be a simple course for beginners, for the ones who know nothing about it and want to have a first idea. I will also link to a few credible books and courses for the ones who want to go deeper.

This will be my introductory post, for the ones who want to learn about hive (this will be my second endeavor and optimistic project). I have been often asked about hive, so I think that a short course would be useful. Many users join here and quickly forget about it, getting lost trying to see how things work.

What I would like to ask you..

I am thinking to include the below in my course and I would appreciate your opinion on things I should definitely include!

Remember, the idea is to give people the first 101 knowledge and to give them motivation & reasons why they should research further.

Why should anyone care?
Why should everyone at least be informed
What has changed so far for people
How people’s lives already have and will be affected in the future
How can someone start learning now? Is there a risk? Is there hope?

I am trying to create some extra content, and I hope that you will enjoy this one!
It is far from perfect yet, but every beginning needs the time to grow & mature : )
