Nuln of the water

One of the sinister Gods I have invented for my roleplaying game. Nuln of the water. A nightmarish entity who is associated with fresh water, crabs, squid fish and death.

This looks so amazing to view. It looks so real like the 8th wonders of the world.

Thanks for sharing

Cheers

It reminds me of the Sirenhead edit that came out years ago, looks so real that makes you wanna look out the window to check it's not there ☠️.

Seems like a Lovecraft sort of creation from the realm of Cthulhu. oops, someone said that already .....

Yes, I am fascinated by that niche in pop culture. He might not have been the greatest of authors, but there's an underlying angst, that drives his work with quite some energy.

There's a small fragment called Azatoth which is really very beautiful and I guess the closest he comes to real quality in his writing (said without having read all of it of course :) I'll try to find it.

his writing is better than his drawing - the illustrations he provided are sort of primitive, not at all the visions I get from reading. Those who illustrate Cthulhu sort of follow the visual he provided with his sketch, a sort of octopus creature.
I am completely off the charts with my illustration of it:

That is a really great work. Forget about that octopus. This is Cthulhu! Lying at some strange shelf at the sea.

If I ever make a Lovecraft project you will be invited.

The idea for Cthulhu is no doubt stolen from this octopus poem by Lord Alfred Tennyson. https://poets.org/poem/kraken
