Homemade salad with tomatoes, cucumbers, black olives, red onion, and mozzarella / Wiosenna sałatka. Świetna do dań z grilla

Today I made a spring salad with vegetables and mozzarella cheese. First it was supposed to be a Greek salad, but it turned out my feta cheese was past its expiration date and at the last minute I decided to use mozzarella cheese. So it's salad similar to a Greek salad, but I don't call it that because mozzarella is an Italian cheese. This is a great salad for grilled dishes, but you can also eat it alone.

Najpierw miała to być grecka sałatka, ale okazało się, że mój ser feta miał przekroczoną datę ważności i w ostatniej chwili zdecydowałam, że użyję sera mozzarella. Więc jest to sałatka a la grecka, ale nie nazywam tak jej bo mozzarella to włoski ser. Jest to świetna sałatka do dań z grilla, ale można ją też jeść samą.

Ingredients:

large tomato
cucumber
red onion
mini mozzarella in balls
black olives
pepper
olive oil
lemon
baguette

One by one, I diced the vegetables and put them in a bowl. First, I cut the tomatoes, then the cucumbers, then put the mozzarella balls in the bowl with the ingredients.

Po kolei kroiłam warzywa w kostkę i wkładałam je do miski. Najpierw pokroiłam pomidory, a następnie ogórki, po czym włożyłam do miski ze składnikami kulki mozzarelli.

At one point the sun came out and the light changed for me while I was taking pictures. Then I added black olives and red onion diced into the salad. I was hoping that the sun would stay long enough for me to take a nice photos of the finished salad in such lighting, but unfortunately it hid behind the clouds a moment later.

W pewnym momencie wyszło słońce i zmieniło mi się światło podczas robienia zdjęć. Dodałam wtedy do sałatka czarne oliwki i pokrojoną w piórka czerwoną cebulę. Miałam nadzieję, że słońce zostanie na tyle długo, że zdążę zrobić fajne zdjęcia gotowej sałatki w takim oświetleniu, ale niestety chwilę później ukryło się za chmurami.

I managed to add some black pepper to the salad and a tablespoon of olive oil and poured a little lemon juice over it.

Zdążyłam jeszcze dodać do sałatki trochę czarnego pieprzu i łyżkę oliwy w z oliwek oraz polałam odrobiną soku wyciśniętego z cytryny.

And also take one photo of the finished salad and the sun hid behind the clouds.

A także zrobić jedno zdjęcie gotowej sałatki i słońce ukryło się za chmurami.

I also made grilled sausages and heated pieces of baguette on it.

Zrobiłam też kiełbaski z grilla i podgrzałam na nim kawałki bagietki.

The perfect combination. Spring salad, sausages, grilled bread and ketchup 😋 How did the salad come out with the mozzarella substitute instead of the feta cheese ? It was ok, but I prefer feta cheese with a very salty, strong flavor. It was a delicious dinner, I got into grilling.

Idealne połączenie. Wiosenna sałatka, kiełbaski i chleb z grilla oraz keczup 😋 I jak wypadła sałatka z zamiennikiem w postaci mozzarelli zamiast fety? Dało się zjeść, ale wolę fetę z mocno słonym, zdecydowanym smakiem. To był pyszny obiad, ale się wkręciłam w grillowanie.
