Pineapple bamboo tofu (vege dish) / Ananasowe tofu z bambusem

When I was returning yesterday from the exhibition in the Royal łazienki I entered a nice vegetarian restaurant Wegeguru. You could feel good there among pleasant sounds and smells. I walked towards my favorite spot, the most secluded in the room, perfect for my introverted soul. There you sit on comfortable pouffes. Unfortunately, it turned out that the seat was reserved, so I took a different seat, by the window.

Gdy wracałam wczoraj z wystawy w Łazienkach Królewskich, zajrzałam do fajnej wegetariańskiej restauracji Wegeguru. Można się tam było rozgościć wśród przyjemnych dźwięków i zapachów. Poszłam w kierunku mojej ulubionej miejscówki, najbardziej odosobnionej w sali, idealnej dla mojej introwertycznej duszy. Siedzi się tam na wygodnych pufach. Niestety okazało się, że miejsce jest zarezerwowane, więc zajęłam inne miejsce, przy oknie.

From the menu, I chose a dish made of tofu and vegetables fried using the stif fry method, i.e. using quick frying combined with stirring. Vegetables include peppers, carrots, zucchini, pineapple, and bamboo. Tofu and vegetables were served in a sweet and spicy sauce with jasmine rice and sprinkled with chives and sesame seeds.

W karcie dań zainteresowała mnie potrawa z tofu oraz z warzywami podsmażanymi metodą stif fry, czyli za pomocą szybkiego smażenia połączonego z mieszaniem. Wśród warzyw znalazły się papryka, marchewka, cukinia, ananas, i bambus. Tofu i warzywa były podawane sosie słodko-ostrym z ryżem jaśminowym i posypano je szczypiorkiem oraz sezamem.

As is usually the case on a Friday afternoon, the restaurant was full of people, and after my arrival, more tables were taken, but many free tables were reserved. My seat next to the window had such an advantage that I could watch people pass by, and if I got bored of it, there were many interesting books to choose from in the restaurant's library. But in the meantime, something even more interesting happened. First, the man from the reserved table, which I wanted to occupy at the beginning, came and made himself at home, then a woman joined him - wearing high heels and a dress. It turned out that she did not like my favorite spot on a date and they chose a classic table. I moved there quickly 😉

Jak to w piątkowe popołudnie w restauracji było sporo ludzi, a po moim przyjściu zapełniły się kolejne stoliki, za to wiele wolnych stolików było zarezerwowanych. Moje miejsce tuż przy oknie miało taką zaletę, że mogłam przyglądać się przechodzącym ludziom, a gdyby mi się to znudziło w restauracyjnej biblioteczce było do wyboru wiele ciekawych książek. Jednak w międzyczasie zdarzyło się coś jeszcze bardziej interesującego. Najpierw przyszedł mężczyzna od zarezerwowanego stolika, który chciałam zającć na początku i się tam rozgościł, później dołączyła do niego kobieta - ubrana w szpilki i sukienkę. Okazało się, że moja ulubiona miejscówka nie przypadła jej do gustu na randkową przestrzeń i wybrali klasyczny stolik. Szybko się tam przeniosłam 😉

See how wonderfully arranged this restaurant is. Lots of plants, colorful pictures and interesting music, for example El Búho and his album "Cenotes". So electronic music combined with the sounds of nature. And it's a nice separation into the part where you can take off your shoes and sit cross-legged, and classic - with high tables.

Zobaczcie jak cudownie jest urządzona jest ta restauracja. Dużo roślin, kolorowe obrazy, a do tego ciekawa muzyczka, np. El Búho i jego album "Cenotes". Czyli muzyka elektroniczna w połączeniu z dźwiękami natury. I to fajne rozdzielenie na część, gdzie można zdjąć buty i usiąść po turecku i klasyczną - z wysokimi stolikami.

My dish pleasantly surprised me with its taste. The tofu was wrapped in a tasty coating and a nice sauce with exotic spices. The sauce also added an interesting taste to other vegetables. Green pepper, which I normally wouldn't pay much attention to, tasted amazing in combination with the sauce. Only the portion could have been a bit larger because it quickly disappeared from my plate 😋

Moje danie miło mnie zaskoczyło swoim smakiem. Tofu było otoczone smaczną panierką, a do tego fajnym sosikiem,w którym wyczuwalne były egzotyczne przyprawy. Innym warzywom sos również dodał ciekawego posmaku. Zielona papryka, na którą normalnie nie zwróciłabym większej uwagi, w połączeniu z sosem smakowała obłędnie. Jedynie porcja mogła być trochę większa bo szybko mi zniknęła z talerza 😋
