Walk through the amazing center of Copenhagen. Funny sculpture of the little fat men and the Old Town / Spacer po centrum Kopenhagi

I have a lot of nice memories with Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark. It is a city that I love, among others due to the beautiful architecture (both historic and modern), or caring for cyclists (many bicycle paths, and even a bicycle highway). I ride a bike all year round, even now - in winter, when it's snowing and the bike paths are covered with snow and ice in many places. I think that I was encouraged to take such a year-round approach to cycling, among others thanks to trips to Copenhagen, when I saw that it was normal there. People ride bikes all year round.

Z Kopenhagą, stolicą Danii łączy mnie dużo miłych wspomnień. Jest to miasto, które uwielbiam m.in. ze względu na piękną architekturę (zarówno tą zabytkową, jak i nowoczesną), czy dbanie o rowerzystów (dużo dróg rowerowych, a nawet autostrada dla rowerów). Jeżdżę na rowerze przez cały rok, nawet teraz - zimą, gdy pada śnieg, a ścieżki rowerowe w wielu miejscach pokryte są śniegiem i lodem. Myślę, że do takiego całorocznego podejścia do jazdy na rowerze zachęciły mnie m.in. wyjazdy do Kopenhagi, gdy widziałam, że tam jest to czymś normalnym. Ludzie jeżdżą na rowerach przez cały rok.

Bicycles are seen everywhere in Copenhagen. If someone is not cycling past you, you can see a lot of them standing on the sidewalk (it might seem they are not secured with anything, but bikes usually have the rear wheel locked with a padlock). In the photo below you can see such a typical cycling landscape in Copenhagen.

Rowery widzi się w Kopenhadze na każdym kroku. Jak ktoś nie przejeżdża obok was na rowerze, to możecie zobaczyć ich mnóstwo stojących na chodniku (mogłoby się wydawać, że bez zapięcia, ale rowery mają zazwyczaj tylne koło zablokowane kłódką). Na zdjęciu poniżej możecie zobaczyć taki typowy rowerowy krajobraz w Kopenhadze.

And this is a funny sculpture by the Dane Keld Moseholm-Jørgensen. It shows three fat men trying to connect the ends of the circle. The artist is the author of many humorous sculptures depicting little fat men who try to do something but fail. I like such sculptures, presenting a problem, showing them in a different light, e.g. in a humorous way. Such a sculpture makes you think, it is not a faithful representation of something, but an incentive to reflect on something. Maybe even on something in your life, because probably each of us has a problem with completing our own plans from time to time.

A to zabawna rzeźba, której autorem jest Duńczyk Keld Moseholm-Jørgensen.
Przedstawia trzech grubasów, którzy próbują połączyć końce kręgu. Artysta jest autorem wielu humorystycznych rzeźb przedstawiających małych grubasów, którzy próbują coś zrobić, ale im się to nie udaje. Lubię takie rzeźby, prezentujące jakiś problem, ukazujące je w innym świetle, np. tak jak tutaj humorystycznym. Taka rzeźba skłania do myślenia, nie jest p protu wiernym odwzorowaniem czegoś, ale zachętą, żeby nad czymś się zastanowić. Może nawet nad czymś ze swojego życia, bo pewnie każdy z nas ma czasem problem ze skończeniem własnych zamierzeń.

This is the Old Town of Copenhagen. There are, among others Lavender Street (Lavendelstræde). The name of the street comes from the herbal gardens in the area where lavender grew. In this part of Copenhagen, I liked the old tenement houses and the passages under the arches, and the cobbled road.

To już Stare Miasto w Kopenhadze. Znajduje się tu m.in. ulica Lawendowa (Lavendelstræde). Nazwa ulica pochodzi od ogrodów ziołowych, które znajdowały się w okolicy i rosła tam lawenda. W tej części Kopenhagi spodobały mi się stare kamienice i przejścia pod łukami. Do tego brukowana powierzchnię na ulicy.
