Zander in a wine-leek sauce, with french fries, white cabbage salad and broth with dumplings / Sandacz w sosie winno-porowym, z frytkami i surówką z białej kapusty oraz rosół z kołdunami

Zander is a fish with white meat and few bones, and it is also easy to digest and has little fat. When I saw it on the menu of the restaurant where I went for lunch today, I knew I would like to try it. I also liked that the zander was served in a wine-leek sauce. Once I ate a fish in a leek sauce by the sea and I liked it very much, I hoped that it would also go well with zander. I chose fries and white cabbage salad with the fish. I thought about the baked potatoes for a moment, but the desire for the dish "fish and chips" won.

Sandacz jest rybą o białym mięsie i niewielu ościach, a do tego jest lekkostrawny i ma mało tłuszczu. Gdy zobaczyłam go w karcie dań restauracji, do której wybrałam się dzisiaj na obiad, wiedziałam, że będę chciała go spróbować. Spodobało mi się też, że sandacz był podawany w sosie winno-porowym. Kiedyś jadłam nad morzem rybę w sosie porowym i bardzo mi smakowała, miałam nadzieję, że z sandaczem też się będzie dobrze komponować. Do rybki dobrałam sobie frytki i surówkę z białej kapusty. Zastanawiałam się chwilę nad pieczonymi ziemniakami, ale wygrała chęć na danie "fish and chips", czyli ryba z frytkami.

Before the zander dish arrived at my table, I ordered a broth with dumplings. This dish looked a bit like a dish from Zapiecek restaurant, but the difference in taste was very noticeable. In Zapiecek you can eat delicious soup, and the small dumplings taste great thanks to the addition of a mixture of herbs. Here, the soup turned out to be average, and the same for dumplings.

Zanim danie z sandaczem dotarło na mój stół zamówiłam sobie rosół z kołdunami. To danie przypominało m nieco, z wyglądu danie z Zapiecka, ale różnica w smaku była bardzo wyczuwalna. W Zapiecku można zjeść przepyszną zupę, a małe pierożki mają wspaniały smak dzięki dodatkowi mixu ziół. Tutaj zupa wyszła im średnia, pierogi podobnie.

I liked the decor of the restaurant, a bit romantic with the rose wallpaper and the color of the walls and ceiling. You can go back in time a bit there. There was a bouquet of white carnations on each table

Podobał mi się wystrój restauracji, taki trochę romantyczny za sprawą tapet z różami i kolorystyki ścian i sufitu. Można się tam nieco cofnąć w czasie. Na każdym stoliku był bukiet z białymi goździkami.

I haven't eaten such delicious fish for a long time. At the beginning, when I saw my dish, I thought to myself that this portion was very small and I would not rent it. Fortunately, I noticed that under one piece of zander fillet there is another piece of this fish.

Dawno nie jadłam tak pysznej ryby. Na początku, gdy zobaczyłam moje danie pomyślałam sobie, że ta porcja jest bardzo mała i się nią nie najem. Na szczęście zauważyłam, że pod jednym kawałkiem fileta z sandacza znajduje się drugi kawałek tej ryby.

The broth was so-so. Not as good as its counterpart in Zapiecek, but not too bad either. Ok to eat.

Rosół był taki sobie. Nie tak dobry jak jego "zapieckowy" odpowiednik, ale też nie najgorszy. Do zjedzenia.
