Greetings dear educators and parents, I hope you are doing well in your noble task of educating the little ones at home. My contribution this week are some very useful didactic resources to teach new vocabulary in the English language. This time the theme is fruits. All these activities can be adapted to the needs of each student.

To introduce the topic to the students I start by asking them questions about their favorite and least favorite fruit. After a short discussion, I show them the vocabulary sheet and introduce them to the new words. I show them the vocabulary sheet and introduce them to the new words. We take a few minutes to pronounce each of the words before moving on to the next activity.

In the next activity I show them the flash cards and ask them to tell me what color each fruit is. In this way we integrate the vocabulary related to fruits and the vocabulary related to colors. The flash cards allow me to do different activities, one of them is to upload these images to the Educaplay platform to create interactive activities.

To work on pronunciation and listening comprehension of this new vocabulary, I present a short video that I created using the Canva and Tiktok platforms. We use this video in class and then I send it to you via WhatsApp so you can review it at home. I leave you the link to the video so you can download it. To reinforce pronunciation and have some fun, I post songs and You Tube videos related to the topic of fruits. I will also leave the links to these videos.

To put into practice what we have learned during the class, the next thing we do are the interactive activities of the Educaplay platform and a new platform that I recently learned about called Wordwall. These two platforms allow us to create personalized activities with the topics we are working on with our students. These activities are a lot of fun and the children learn a lot while having fun.

With the interactive activities I end my class and if the topic needs to be reinforced I send you printable material so that you can practice at home and we take it up again in the next class.
