MWM|| A new bag made with african flowers
Blessed Needle Monday my dear and appreciated artisan friends. I hope you had a wonderful weekend and that you can start this new week with your energy well recharged.
For my part, I tell you that I had a very relaxed weekend, thank God. I decided to stay home to rest and dedicate myself to my pending projects. I was knitting a lot and that helped me relax and take a break from working in front of the computer. I really love and value the time I can dedicate to crochet, because it is an activity that allows me to balance my emotions.
One of the projects I have been knitting is a cute little purse made with the hexagons of the African flower that I learned to knit a few days ago. After knitting this flower, I started looking for projects in which I could use it and the truth is that there are a wide variety of beautiful projects in which these flowers can be included. My favorite projects were bags and purses, so I decided to knit a small purse as my first project.
This pretty bag is made with only 7 hexagons of African flowers. In this case I made the flowers in different colors, but it would also look very pretty with all the flowers of the same color. The only thing we have to do is knit the 7 hexagons and then assemble each piece giving it the shape of the purse and then join all the pieces with the help of a wool needle.
Although it may not seem like it, this is a very simple project and it is very relaxing and entertaining both to knit it and to sew each piece. This is the smallest design I found, but there are other models that require a greater number of hexagons. Soon I will be knitting a slightly larger model and of course I will be sharing it with you.
These hexagons are also called hexagonal grannys, because they somewhat follow a similar pattern to square grannys.
I am really very happy with the result of this project, even though the wallet looks very small and does not fit the cell phone. To knit it a little larger I have two options: Knit the hexagons with a greater number of rows or use a much larger gauge thread.
I hope you like this little project. Thanks for reading, greetings and blessings.
