MWM|| A new bed for GIORNO 🐱
Blessed Wednesday dear friends of NeedleWorkMonday, I hope you are doing well. It is my pleasure to share with you again a new sewing project. This time I am very excited to show you what I have been making with my kids this weekend. It is a new bed for our house pet, our beloved Giorno.
As I have already told you, Giorno is a kitten that we adopted when he was only about two months old. At that time he was very tiny, but now that he is a year and a half old, he has become a very big cat. So big that he no longer fits in his bed, which is why my children and I decided to make a new bed that was much bigger and more comfortable.
To make this bed we used a sufficiently large cardboard box, a meter of sheet fabric with a very pretty children's print, scissors, silicone and the sewing machine. We divided the work and of course I did the sewing part and my kids lined the box with the fabric.
My work consisted of making a cushion that will serve as a mattress for the bed, which I made with stuffing from an old pillow and some scraps of fabric. I also thought of making a little pillow in the shape of a candy and Giorno liked it very much;

I tell you that Giorno was very impatient while we were working on his bed and was all the time getting into the box still unfinished. Finally, when the bed was ready, he didn't hesitate to crawl in and take a little nap. He still likes to sleep on the furniture, but I hope that with his new bed he will get out of that habit and sleep more comfortably.
It was a pleasure to greet you again and share with you this project that was made with a lot of love for our pet.
