Blessed day beautiful and creative people of this community. It is a pleasure to write this blog post to share with you the new granny square patterns I have been knitting to complete my collection.
I still don't have a set limit of how many granny squares I want to knit, what I am sure is that I am falling more and more in love with these beautiful and versatile squares.
Hoy me encontré con este patrón tan sencillo y fácil de tejer, pero que me fascinó porque es estupendo para hacer manteles, tapetes, posa vasos, mantas y todo lo que se nos ocurra. Inicia con 12 cadenas sobre la cual se van tejiendo los cuadritos. El tejido va creciendo desde el centro hacia el afuera, tal como lo hacen todos los granny. Lo mejor es que se pueden tejer tantas vueltas sean necesarias hasta obtener el tamaño deseado.
En laúltima vuelta se teje un borde de puntos altos o también con varias vueltas de puntos bajos.
Although lately I've been a little busy knitting Christmas orders and my flower wallets; I didn't want to leave my granny collection aside, since it's a project that I'm very excited about and that allows me to keep getting to know new granny designs.
Today I came across this pattern so simple and easy to knit, but that fascinated me because it is great for making tablecloths, rugs, cup holders, blankets and everything we can think of. It starts with 12 chains on which the squares are woven. The weaving grows from the center outwards, just like all granny squares do. The best thing is that you can weave as many rows as necessary until you get the desired size.
In the last row, a border is knitted with high stitches or with several rows of low stitches.

The next design is a little more elegant and delicate. From this pattern you can weave several pieces and then join them together to form a table runner. They would also look great as cup holders or small rugs. It is a design that does not take up much material and is very easy to weave. I really liked how nice it looks and I would love to knit it in different colors.

Granny number 18 from the collection is one of my favorite patterns. I love how beautiful it looks despite being so simple. I like how it takes on a nice shape with each round that is added, making it ideal for knitting a tablecloth for a square table.
The center of this granny is a circumference formed by 16 tall stitches. It is in the second round that you begin to form the four corners to obtain the granny.

The granny number 19 is of my authorship. It can be clearly seen by some imperfections, which I plan to correct very soon. After knitting three nice designs with the help of the reference photos. It occurred to me to knit a free style granny, just with whatever came up. This exercise helped me to check that I already understand the basic notion of the granny, that is to say what is repeated in all patterns : the corners and the sides. However, I still need to be clearer about the exact number of stitches and spaces to achieve a perfect square, so that I can create my own patterns. For now I am still learning and enjoying the process.
