Feliz y bendecido día queridos y apreciados amigos artesanos. De corazón espero que se encuentren muy bien, disfrutando de unos días en unión familiar. De mi parte les cuento que he tenido unos días bastante ocupados, pero también muy alegres, ya que he podido compartir con mi familia las festividades navideñas. En cuanto al crochet, he estado elaborando proyectos muy sencillos y tratando de avanzar de a poco los proyectos más grandes.

As for crochet, I have been making very simple projects and trying to advance little by little the bigger projects.

Entre los proyectos pequeños que he estado tejiendo se encuentran las clásicas scrunchies para el cabello. Este accesorio nunca pasa de moda y es bastante útil, además de bonito. Últimamente han salido variadas formas de elaborar estas scrunchies a crochet, me gustaría intentar cada diseño, pero por ahora voy a iniciar con el diseño más tradicional.

Among the small projects I've been knitting are the classic hair scrunchies. This accessory never goes out of style and is quite useful, as well as pretty. Lately there have been several ways to crochet these scrunchies, I'd like to try each design, but for now I'm going to start with the more traditional design.

Este es el patrón más usado para tejer este accesorio para el cabello. Consiste en cubrir la gomita con puntos bajos, se deben tejer la cantidad de puntos suficientes para cubrir toda la gomita sin que se vean espacios al estirarla.

Luego en la segunda vuelta se tejen de 3 a 4 puntos altos en cada punto bajo de la vuelta anterior. Esto hará que se formen unos bucles o vuelos y que la scrunchie tenga mucho volumen.
Algunas personas tejen más de 2 vueltas, en mi caso preferí dejarlas así de sencillas..

Existe otra forma de darles volumen, lo cual consiste en tejer puntos "V" en cada vuelta. Este patrón lo intentaré en una próxima oportunidad.

This is the most used pattern to knit this hair accessory. It consists of covering the rubber band with low stitches, you must knit enough stitches to cover the entire rubber band without showing any spaces when you stretch it.
Then in the second round, knit 3 to 4 high stitches in each low stitch of the previous round. This will form loops or ruffles and give the scrunchie a lot of volume.
Some people knit more than 2 rows, in my case I preferred to leave them that simple.

There is another way to give them volume, which is to knit "V" stitches in each row. I will try this pattern next time.
