Blessed day to all my friends of this beautiful platform, I hope you are having an excellent week full of blessings. As you all know, Mother's Day is celebrated in many countries this weekend, that's why this week I have been very busy making several gifts for my friends and family. This time I share with you the process of making a crocheted amigurumi style flower, which I used to make a cute keychain. It is a very simple flower to crochet, but the result is very nice.

To knit this flower I worked with white, pink and green wick yarn for the leaves. The needle I used is the thinnest needle I have because as the project has a little stuffing, the fabric must be tightly woven so that the stuffing does not show through. I also used some fabric markers because the center of the flower is knit in a spiral. The best thing about this pattern is that you can play with the colors, you can make the center in a dark color and the petals in a light color and vice versa.

The first step is to knit two circles of 5 rows of low spiral stitches. A knitting marker is used to mark the beginning of each row. For this flower I chose to make the center in pink and the petals in white.

The next step is to join the two circles with low stitches. Leave an open space to fill with a little wadding or anti-allergic stuffing. After filling, the edge is closed and the center of our flower is ready.

Next we start the petals. The petals are worked in double crochet and single crochet, following the next sequence: One low stitch, two chains, two high stitches in the same stitch, two chains and we close with low stitch in the next base stitch. Each petal is made with the same sequence and as many petals are made as necessary to fill the circle.

The last step is to weave a little leaf with the green thread and glue it on one side of the flower. The necessary accessories are also placed so that it can be used as a keychain. If we place a small hook or carabiner, this flower can also be used as a hanging ornament for purses and bags.

I really liked the final result and I hope to continue knitting many more and try different color combinations.
