NEEDLEWORK || TAPETE GRANNY SQUARE
Blessed day my dear and appreciated needleworkers. It is a great pleasure to publish here again this week. I'm working hard to stay active on Hive, especially my favorite community, NeedleWorkMonday.
Lately I've been in spider mode, weaving that weaving.
I have leaned towards the side of the rugs with wick yarn, since it is my favorite material to weave things for the kitchen.
The colored wick looks great on rugs, coasters and pot holders, plus it's a strong, durable material that doesn't fade when washed.
The rug that I bring you today is a square rug made with a granny square pattern. I made it with raw wick yarn in blue and purple. I knitted the central part of the rug with two strands of yarn so that it will be much firmer, since I plan to use it as a pot holder, so it must be resistant.
These types of rugs or placemats are very simple to make and are very useful in the kitchen. With the grannies you can make various projects to use at home, they are also easy to weave and you can make many color combinations. I think all knitters love granny square patterns because of their versatility and how beautiful projects that include them are.
For this project I decided on a dense pattern knitted with several rounds in double crochet until the desired size was achieved. It is a small mat as I will only be using it to protect the table from hot pots and pans.
With this small and simple project I say goodbye for this week to the community. We meet again on our next Needle Monday. I wish you an excellent and blessed week. Thanks for reading, greetings and blessings.

The center design gave it a charming one and love how it turns out to be. If I should have this rug now, I don't think that the beauty will allow me to use it in the kitchen.
Thanks so much, i like to use rug like this in the kitchen because it can be washed without problem.
Thanks for your nice comment.

Saludos 🌻
