And the incident happened with a young freelancer in Dhaka city, the capital of Bangladesh. Also there are many more such cases.
For example a few days ago a young man called his personal number from a Bangladeshi number. He was introduced as the digital marketing officer. And through that college he was given various lures and asked if he is interested in earning online. He was given a call and told that the tasks are very easy and with this simple task he can earn quite well in a short time and therefore he has to subscribe to the YouTube channel. And that young man stepped into that trap. Everyone wants to take advantage of the opportunity to earn in easy work, so he also agrees to their offer. He even did as they said and that's why he got 200 taka in Bangladeshi taka or 1.8 US dollars from them as payment once. Since then connect with someone named Israt on Telegram.
After joining Telegram, the woman added the boy to a group called 'YouTube Task' for 100 rupees. The purpose is to find the group so that the youth can earn more easily after joining that channel. Even in new groups jobs are easy to find and the remuneration is high. He was even offered to subscribe to five groups that would pay him upwards of four dollars. Even that young man earns about 35 dollars a day from there. And from there, the new level of deception begins. Then there is an offer that if he invests like 15 dollars then he can earn 20 dollars from it without any effort.
The young man fell completely into the trap of deception. When he falls into their cheating trap, he later realizes that he is being included in cryptocurrency by these fraudsters. He was informed that he had to open a new cryptocurrency account. Where Bitcoin will be traded. He was even told that if he invested $15 into his new account, he would get about $24. He can even withdraw that money through mobile banking. Even according to them he got the first payment very easily. But later invested around 50 dollars. The person who was told would later receive a payment of about $60.
He was then added to a new Telegram channel and joined by a few more fraudsters. Where he was asked to pay about $120. When he made the payment he was told he paid the wrong number. That's why he gets scolded a lot and it is said that because of his mistake other people's accounts got blocked. Thus everyone started abusing him and demanding money from him. Later he started taking money from them like this and once he paid about 45 thousand dollars to the fraudsters. But it is too late and later he realizes that he has fallen into a trap of deception. Then he filed a case in the police station and the matter was investigated by the CID (Central Investigation Division).
Later CID investigated the matter and after investigation arrested around eight people from different cities in connection with this incident. The gang confessed their guilt during the initial interrogation after the arrest. In this way, they said in the preliminary investigation that they stole around hundred crores of rupees and smuggled them abroad. In this way, there are many Chakrabortys who are making a lot of money by targeting the youth of the country in this way. Most of them are young people.
