Another thing that affects people's self love is the rate at which African parents compare their children to other people's children that thing can be a lot depressing....the one about becoming like someone I used to be like that at one point in time but I later realized that everyone's not perfect,most people just smile alot to hide their pains that's it not like they're perfect

That's true. Parents tend to compare their children with other ones... This is often emotionally draining for the children.
Yes, trying to compare ourselves to others isn't worth. We all have our secret pains.
