THE ACT OF DECISION MAKING

The act of decision making is a crucial and one of the toughest parts of a human life.
Before a person can make a move he or she must have come to a conclusion deep within them. For me, decision making affects our everyday life. For you to be successful, be at peace with yourself or others,with your partner or spouse you need to make a decision also before you take revenge on someone you will have to decide within you first. Decision making affect our life's in both positive and negative ways That's why we must be carefully on the kind of decision we take, and we need to learn not to make decision under pressure, when we are happy or sad because at that point or state in time we are not at the right frame of mind to put other factor needed into consideration.

I have made a couple of mistakes due to poor or will I say bad decisions that have made me regret and it's still affecting me till today, I will talk about one of the mistakes. When I got admission into the higher institution I meet a guy, with time we became friend and we became roommates, we shared almost everything he was a cool guy, very neat he loves washing clothes and me on the other hand I love cooking so the friendship way kind of perfect but then he love party and women while me on the other hand I don't party much and I don't do many women then or will I say I was new out of home and I was trying to be of my best behavior. This friend of my peter by name will bring his friends to the house and throw a house party, they will smoke and have group sex in the house that was disgusting to me but its his thing and he also has equal right to the the house as I do, with time I couldn't withstand it anymore so I spoke to him about it he promised to stop which he did.

One day he came to me and asked me to lend him money I gave him my ATM card to withdraw with, I was so happy that day because my Dad shared a good news with me that morning so with the joy I didn't know when I told peter that anytime he need money for something he can use my ATM card and replace the money when he's monthly allowance comes in. He was happy with what I said so he went ahead to withdraw the money he ask for, the next day he went to withdraw money without my notice, at first I was scared that someone has stolen my ATM card not until he told me he was the one that withdrew from my Account, I was surprised because he only withdrew some money from my account the previous day and he has withdrawn another today he promised to replace it back which he did later that day.

Toward the end of the following month it was time for our first semester examination my Dad had just sent my school fees to my account so I will be able to write the exam but before I could notice the money was sent to my account peter has seen the notification before me as I left my phone at home to class he went to with draw half of the money, when I noticed and confronted him, he lied that his twin brother wasn't well and his parent couldn't raise money at that point for his treatment and that's why he had to borrow from me and promise to pay back as he has explained to his Dad that he borrow the money from his friend, I had no choice but to let it be and wait for when he will pay so I will be able to pay the balance of my school fees, I went ahead to pay part of the school fees so that I will be allowed to write the exams.

The exam went well, we all went back to our various houses for holiday. While at home I kept calling to remind him of the money and he kept telling me he would give it to me when we resumed for the next semester. I waited patiently as the holiday was only two weeks. After the holiday it was time to resume I called again to remind him he still assured me he will give me when he comes back to my greatest surprise I went back to school and he hasn't resumed I tried calling his number it wasn't connecting for months then I realize he wasn't coming back , I was so heart broken and so disappointed I had to beg and sometime sneak into the exam hall with others who have not pay their school fees.

The painful part is that I can't tell my Dad what happened as he is quick to anger and I know he won't give me another money to pay , so now I'm trying hard to hustle/work for the money so I will be able to pay for the school fees and extra for late payment, so I can get my result as my parent think have already collected my result. The annoying part of the whole thing was that the money he said was for his brother's treatment he actually used the money to party with his friends. I still regret my decision of giving him access to my ATM card till today but I have no choice because the did has been done and the only way to change it is to find a way to get the money myself.

LESSON LEARNED

Before making a decision, consider the person or thing you are deciding toward in order not to regret the outcome or result of your decision. Try to put the factor of possibility and impossibility into Consideration also
