THE UNSEEN

The unseen world and it creature are tales we've heard of over the years and growing up as kids we are scared of the things we heard especially the might tales of "madam koi koi" which was the most scare tales told to Nigeria children especially those in the boarding school, this was a scary tale told to children to frighten them or make the go to bed early.
As we grew up we started seeing them as mere folktales and we stopped getting scared of the tales because we stopped believing it was real though our elders and parents have tried to convince us that it really happened but since we didn't witness it we don't believe in it.

I use to say to myself that ''what I don't know don't know me'', not until I got admission for my National diploma (OND) in Delta state Nigeria I started hearing my course mates in the hostel talking about ghost and hearing strange noise at night in the hostel at first I thought it was just there thought/imagination, then I got the complaint from a close friend who came to spend the night over at my house because I was stay off campus, he complained about hearing footstep in my room while we were all asleep and I said to him maybe it's the people passing by he insisted and said no he knew what he heard then I told him I know nothing of what he is talking about as have not witnessed it, he left and another of my friend complained the same thing, but i have lived in that Room for over six more month and have not experienced such.

Then I started to think to myself is it because of the graveyard behind my house and again I waved the thought away with the saying 'what I don't know doesn't know me' and I continued to stay in my house. Then one night I decided to take a walk to the river bank to clear my head and receive the cool and fresh evening breeze, while waking to the river I was alone on the road no light and I wasn't with my phone, I started hearing footstep that doesn't belong to me and I turn back to see who it was and to my greatest surprise there was no one behind me, I was puzzled because have never witnessed such thing before but I stood strong ignored the sound and went to the river, while I was at the river I wasn't think straight anymore so I went back home.

The next day I spoke to my neighbors who were from the community and they told me tales of how ghosts used to kill people and how they tried locking some of the dangerous spirits up traditionally. I was so baffled and surprised about what I heard, later that day I wanted to go and ease my self so I went into an uncompleted building to do short put (shit in a nylon bad and throw it into the bush) as there are only few houses with toilet in the island while at it a strange man passed by and warned not to enter the uncompleted building to ease myself again that he won't warn me again

I apologized and begged him not to be offended and the funny part of it was that the uncompleted building was in the graveyard behind my house. Later that night I had running stomach and the closest place to go and ease my self was the uncompleted building in the graveyard so I went with my nylon bag, toilet roll and my touch light to the uncompleted Building I decided not to go inside because I promised the man I met earlier I won't go inside the build to ease myself so I position my nylon in front of the house not minding the graves around me immediately I bent down to shit I heard a loud bang on the roof of the building it was as if someone played ball on the the roof I almost ran but since I didn't hear any other sound

I decided to continue immediately I bent down the second time the bang continued rapidly as if it was about to fall on my head without thinking twice I left my touch, toilet roll and thank God I haven't started pooping I ran like a mad man out of the graveyard immediately I came out of the graveyard the sound on the roof stopped then I realized that there are forces way beyond the ordinary human eyes and imagination, I was shivering and cold, my head was swelling up as if it was going to burst and I forgot I was having running stomach.

Since that day I promised never to enter that part of the compound again and I didn't till I left the school. Some days after my experience, some students complained of seeing a man properly dressed in a suit with no head, the school was in shock and especially those in the hostel they stopped coming out when it was 11:30 pm due to fear of what they could see outside.There are many things on the earth that are beyond our understanding and are not to be tampered with.For me I will say it is better to be scared of what you don't know than what you already know in the case study as it stands…
