Three prairie kittens have an adventure.

Once upon a time, there were three kittens who lived in a meadow. They were called Moon, Sun and Star. They were very happy in their little house made of leaves and twigs, which protected them from the cold and the rain.

One day, a strong wind blew over the meadow. The kittens were scared and hid in their house. But the wind was so strong that it tore the house from its place and carried it away by the air.

The kittens held on tight to the house, but they didn't know where they were going. The wind took them over the mountains, the rivers and the forests, until it dropped them in an unknown place.

The kittens got up and looked around. They were in a jungle full of trees, flowers and animals. The house was in pieces and they couldn't fix it.

• What are we going to do now? - asked Moon, the white kitten.
• I don't know, I don't know this place - said Sun, the yellow kitten.
• Maybe we can find help - suggested Star, the black kitten.

The kittens started to walk through the jungle, looking for a place to stay. But they found nothing. All the animals they saw were big and fierce, and they looked at them with curiosity or hunger.

• Meow! Meow! Meow! - the kittens meowed, frightened.

• Who are you and what are you doing here?

The kittens turned and saw a monkey hanging from a branch.

The monkey looked at them with compassion and said:

The kittens were happy and thanked the monkey. The monkey took them to his house, which was a large and comfortable cave. There he introduced them to his family and friends: the elephant, the lion, the giraffe, the parrot, the turtle and many more.

The kittens became friends with all the animals and learned many new things. They learned to climb trees, to swim in the river, to sing with the birds, to play with the butterflies and to eat fruits and nuts.

The kittens adapted to their new life and were very happy. They never forgot their meadow or their house, but they didn't miss anything either. They knew they had found a new home and a new family.
