At 2:30 in the afternoon, the women's category began. We were called to choose partners for the head-to-head matches, and thus the rounds began. Each round was incredible, with very well-executed movements, good technique, and amazing skill. Each athlete excelled in their best element, some with a V-sit, some with a handstand, and others with a front lever. The first head-to-head match was incredible; each of us gave our best and pushed ourselves to the limit. When it was my turn, I started my round with the element I master best, which is the elbow lever planch on the high bar, with variations such as the elbow lever ballerina and a straddle to one support. Following the elbow levers, I switched to a back lever straddle. Then, with the little time I had left, I did an elbow lever straddle on the floor on mini parallel bars, thus closing the first round. My head-to-head partner also had a very outstanding round, doing an elbow lever planch on a fingertip support and a front lever tuck with push-ups. For my second round, I did something simpler but well-planned. I started with a handstand in scorpion. Following that, I performed an elbow lever, landing in a hold and completely releasing my supporting hand from the ground. Then I moved on to another elbow lever, this time changing to an X position, and to finish, I did another scorpion handstand. It was truly an extremely satisfying experience to be able to compete. So much preparation and effort paid off in the most beautiful way possible. Despite not making the podium due to the judges' decision and losing, I feel like I won. And by that, I don't mean prizes or podium finishes; I gained experience, respect, and recognition, which are truly invaluable to me in this sport.
