Blog #205: The Unplanned Trip is the Best One | At The Beautiful River in Valencia, Negros Oriental
Happy Thursday Hivers!
Soon I am not the owner of my time, I will be working again to serve others. But maybe this decision would help me to grow my crypto portfolio especially on hive since my goal is to have a massive increase of my Hive Power. While I am still free, I took the opportunity to spend time with my friend and together, we traversed. Check out our recent trip together.
Originally, our ultimate plan that day was to visit Valencia Plaza. They currently hold a festival showcasing the culture of Valencia. We were disappointed as we arrived at Valencia Plaza since the activity will start late in the afternoon and we arrived there at around 10AM. Instead of going home, my friend brought me to one of the beautiful rivers in Valencia.
If you're unfamiliar of the place, you will never know that behind the bushes lie a beautiful river.
After my friend parked her motorbike, we hiked few meters and descended the stair going to the river.
The presence of other visitors made me realize that this river is one of the most visited rivers in Valencia town.
Big rocks, greenery and flowing water greeted us and the smell of a grilled fish was the first scent we smelled as we arrived. Though we were just done eating but the smell made us salivate. We turned our head around and in a few seconds we saw a group of male busy grilling fish.
There were already few people plunging in the water. Some of them were children who loves to immerse theirselves in the water.
My friend caught me staring to nowhere so she call out my attention and told me that we will be looking for a nice spot for us. And since we will crossing the water, I took off my shoes. The sand is not really nice unlike the sand in the beach. It's sharp and it hurts your feet.
But since I don't bring a pair of slippers I just endured the pain but don't worry, the pain was just tolerable.
The water was just knee-deep but still we were careful as we crossed because of the sharp rocks.
While walking in the river I was entertained by the piles stones scattered everywhere.
Finally, we were able to find a quite spot away from the people. We put down our belongings and my friend immediately grabbed the food that we brought. Do you eat boiled peanut and unripe mango with soy sauce?
While in the river we do a lot of activities like we tried to meditate and listen to the sound of the flowing water.
My friend do yoga pose on the big rock. She loves to keep doing yoga pose.
She also tried to pile the different sizes of stones.
While my friend enjoyed the cool water, I also went further and checked around. It is quite in this area. No one occupies it. I stayed for a few minutes and let myself enjoyed the scenery.
I went back to my friend and we enjoyed talking random topics while I immersed my feet in the flowing water.
After a while, I challenged myself to also pile stones and should be higher than the other.
Unfortunately, I was not able to pile stones higher than the other piles especially on the first photo of this blog. But I understood because it was my first time and would not expect to do it perfectly. Practice makes perfect as they say.
I spent most of my time doing outdoor activities while waiting for the start date of my training because soon I could no longer travel any time because of my work. But it's okay because I know I would be able to learn new things, get to know new people and become better version of myself. Maybe that time my crypto portfolio will slowly grow.
Thank you for reading and see you on my next blog. Cheers!

Namaste! I am fond of reading books, watching korean, american and filipino series/movies and I am also fond of gardening. I love listening to different life stories and I am always captivated with the beauty of nature so travel is my escape when life turns into blue. But hey, how could I forget my photography hobby? It is one of the best, so follow me as I will be featuring my experiences of the stuff that I am passionate with.
Congratulations, your post has been added to Pinmapple! 🎉🥳🍍
Did you know you have your own profile map?
And every post has their own map too!

You will never achieve your goal when you keep on transferring your earnings out and continue to power down. Saying things to make you look committed to Hive doesn't pull in support when all your actions says the total opposite.
This is my honest reply to your comment @livinguktaiwan.
First, I am so grateful to Hive community and to all the whales and curators for the upvotes that I got from you guys, for the constant support of my blogs. My heart is always grateful.
Second, I was jobless since the pandemic has started. Business went bankrupt. And that time depression starts to hit me. I tried to apply different types of job but unfortunately, all applications were rejected. I am jobless from 2020 until today, no one supported me financially except myself. In order to survive the crisis, I tried to make blogs and posted here on hive with the help of my friend. Thankfully, I was able to earn rewards and help me to sustain my daily necessities. I am able to feed myself and that I am grateful to Hive.
Third, Powerdown issue. My HBD earnings is not enough to support my need including my room rental so even it is against my will, I powered it down to survive.
Fourth, I'm not a good writer. I got very low upvotes/rewards of my other blogs. I only got high rewards mostly on my travel blog, that's why I travel and squeezed my budget to survive.
After years of looking for a job, finally I am hired. And soon, I will be starting to work for my new job. Soon, I won't click the powerdown anymore because I already have my salary and my salary will feed me, pay for my bills, and support my travel for my future hive blog content.
And I know very soon, my Hive Power will start to increase and I will try my best to hit my goal.
Thank you @livinguktaiwan because you're one of those curators who have supported my blog. You have helped me to survive in this most trying times of my life.
Thanks for your honest reply @kellyane. COVID has really hit people hard and I know Hive has been a life saver for many through this period. I'm glad it's helped you through.
If you're here for the long term, it pays to build your community because that's where your support comes from. For someone who relies on Hive for your daily living, your engagement level is pretty low, making only 70 comments to 46 individuals in the past month. And most of those comments are on your own posts and not other people's post.
It's really worth you investing your time on Hive if you want more support, and that doesn't mean just dropping your post every now and then. Many people build communities, they look for mods to help them out. There's HPUD every month, there are many contest that encourages people to engage as build bridges. People make time to run these events as they want to help Hive grow, and many do it even when they have a full time job because they understand Hive depends on every one's contribution to make it grow. All these things you can contribute in your spare time to help you grow your account - if you want to.
Not many people are natural writers in Hive, but the content is as important as the writing so don't shoehorn yourself on a handful of communities. Hive is much bigger than the communities you currently writing write in. If you are willing to spend more time to explore I'm sure you'll find a lot nof things you can write about and increase your exposure and network and hence support.
I'm so glad you have found a job now and I'm sure things will be on the up for you now. Once you settle down in your new job, maybe you can consider spend more time to Hive and grow your account.
Good luck
Thank you @livinguktaiwan
