Blog #215: A Glass of Margarita on a Saturday Night

Happy Tuesday Hivers!

I gently touched and pushed the doorknob while turning my head to my friend's direction, asking her validation if we were heading to the right room. She just simply winked at me. Both uncertainty and confusion I have felt as I moved my feet towards the threshold. While I stood up on the threshold, the amazement was completely painted on my face as I saw the coloured lights gleaming the entire dark large room.

It's just 1 step away but the atmosphere was completely changed from a peaceful and less people on the road to lively and full of life atmosphere. The "WHYNOT BAR" is an indoor bar located along Rizal Boulevard in Dumaguete City. It is one of the most visited bar in town. Where to find some youngsters in town? Well, you can find them inside the Whynot Bar. I've seen youngsters on the dance floor laughing, dancing and enjoying the jolly music- as if there's no tomorrow.

The night was just young and that made the area not completely filled by the party goers yet as we arrived. The waitresses were busy entertaining and taking customers' order. We didn't wait them to approach us, we just headed to the counter area to have our orders be taken. A 1 round of regular size pizza and 2 glasses of Margarita we'd ordered on that Saturday night.

Many tables and chairs were still available on the different corners of the huge room. We walked towards the corner with less people and the most comfortable area. We comfortably sit on the soft couch while waiting for our orders to be served. A pair of lovers; a circle of friends; and a group of families were sighted at the bar. Although some people were not dancing on the dance floor but you could see them moving their bodies and singing along the music played. Everyone was absolutely enjoying the night.

Drinking cocktail is a thing I rarely done- it might be the reason why I immediately felt dizzy after taking few sips of it but my friend has a higher tolerance compared to me. She loves Margarita, in fact she ordered another glass of it. After she had finished her glass of Margarita, she started to laugh uncontrollably even we only talked simple topics. I teased her that she already drank but she only replied a loud laugh.

The night was filled with joyful memories. The laughters that everyone had shared in the room is a memory that has engraved in everyone's heart. I usually spent my days alone in the beach; or in the mountains with a friend and I almost forgot to socialize. Once in a while, go and mingle with a few different people. It was just a glass of Margarita on a Saturday night but it gave me a lifetime memory.
