Catching up with a Friend @ Northpoint and Neva's Pizza in Dumaguete City
Happy Tuesday Hivers!
Yesterday, after I finished my work-related tasks around 2 in the afternoon, I found myself feeling bored. Despite feeling lazy, I took a shower and got ready to run a few errands. But before I left home, I received a message from a friend asking if I wanted to spend some time together. This was a welcome distraction from my boredom and I was happy to take her up on the offer.
Our plan to try Neva Pizza's all-you-can-eat option has been long overdue, so my friend and I agreed to finally have dinner there. However, when we arrived, we were disappointed to find that the schedule for the all-you-can-eat option has been changed. But since we were already starving, we decided to try some of their other menu items.
We waited for a staff member to take our order. Since there were only a few staff members, we patiently waited until it was our turn.
After deciding on the foods to order, the staff took our order and we ended up ordering a plate of carbonara, a round of pizza, and a pitcher of iced tea. As we waited for our food, we had an engaging conversation about strange topics like UFO's, which made us forget how hungry we were. After almost 30 minutes, we were both silence as we focused on our meal.
Later on, we visited Northpoint in Dumaguete City, known for its many food stalls and restaurants serving different cuisines. We finally found a cozy coffee shop that caught our attention, the "Camping Coffee Shop," which had a camping-like ambiance. Despite the rain, we decided to spend some time there and relax. The coffee shop was quiet with only a few customers, which we both liked. After almost an hour, we headed home.
Working from home can be lonely at times, but socializing and catching up with friends can help boost one's mood. We both had a great time catching up and I enjoyed the evening with her.
