Happy Thursday Hivers!

The weather in our area has been quite gloomy because Super Typhoon Bavi passed through the northern part of Luzon. Although it was quite far from where we are, we still experienced strong winds and heavy rain.

Last night, while the rain was pouring outside, I found myself scrolling through my photo gallery since it was still too early to sleep. As I browsed through my old photos, I couldn't help but smile at the memories of my solo travels. Those adventures reminded me of the joy of exploring new places on my own.

Since I truly miss traveling solo, I thought I'd take a walk down memory lane and revisit some of the places I explored. Come with me as I look back on a few of my favorite travel memories.

Since I absolutely love the beach, I made sure not to miss visiting some of Siquijor's most famous beaches during my trip. One of them is Paliton Beach, often referred to as the island's "Little Boracay" because of its powdery white sand and crystal-clear waters.

One of the things the Philippines is truly proud of is its breathtaking waterfalls. If you ever visit Valencia, Negros Oriental, you'll find several magnificent waterfalls that are well worth exploring.

Of course, Siquijor is no exception. Despite being a small island, it is also home to beautiful waterfalls surrounded by lush greenery and a peaceful atmosphere. These natural attractions offer the perfect escape, especially for travelers who enjoy nature.

One of the places that truly amazed me was Valencia, Negros Oriental. It is home to some of the most beautiful rivers I have ever seen, wide, crystal clear, and incredibly clean.

During my first visit, I was genuinely amazed by how stunning the river was. Simply sitting along the riverbank while listening to the soothing sound of the flowing water was enough to make me feel relaxed. It was one of those peaceful moments that made me appreciate the beauty of nature even more.

Cebu also has its share of beautiful rivers in its more remote and mountainous areas. These hidden spots offer the same peaceful atmosphere and are perfect for anyone looking to escape the noise of the city and reconnect with nature.

One of the things I always look forward to whenever I travel is discovering places with breathtaking views, delicious food, and refreshing beverages. There's something special about enjoying a good meal while being surrounded by nature, it makes the experience even more memorable.

One of the moments I miss the most is having a cocktail by the beach under the moonlight. The cool sea breeze, the gentle sound of the waves, and the peaceful atmosphere create a kind of relaxation that's hard to describe. It's one of those simple travel experiences that stays with you long after the trip is over.

For me, travel isn't just about visiting new places, it's also about savoring good food, enjoying beautiful scenery, and creating unforgettable memories.

Of course, who wouldn't love exploring beautiful mountains? Looking back, one of my favorite memories was when I traveled around Negros Island, where I met someone who shared the same adventurous spirit. Over time, we became close friends, and she was always the one who encouraged me to explore the mountains.

Sometimes, she wouldn't even tell me where we were going. Instead, she'd surprise me with an unexpected hike, turning an ordinary day into an unforgettable adventure. Those spontaneous trips made every climb even more exciting because I never knew what breathtaking view was waiting at the top.

Those were some of the happiest moments of my travels, and honestly, I miss those days so much.

Last night, I went to bed with a smile on my face. As I looked back on all those wonderful memories, I told myself that one day, I'll travel solo again.

But for now, my priority is different. I want to dedicate my time to taking care of the garden and spending more time with my mom. I know the mountains, beaches, waterfalls, and all the beautiful places will still be there, waiting for me when the time is right.

For now, I'm creating a different kind of happiness, one that grows in my garden and blossoms through the precious moments I share with my family.

This time, my travels may be a little different. Instead of traveling solo, I hope to travel more often with my mom because she has always told me that she wants to explore new places with me.

I think it's finally time to make that wish come true. After all, the best journeys aren't just about the destinations, they're about the people we share them with. Creating beautiful memories with my mom is something I look forward to, and I know those moments will be just as meaningful as my solo adventures.
