Welcome 2024: Stepping into the Unknown

Today is the first page of our 2024, three hundred sixty-five pages of our life story.

Going back to 2018, I bought a notebook where I wrote all my goals and dreams in life. One of my goals that I wrote was "To write an article about my life journey." I realized that I am already living my dream through Hive, and because of that, I had the idea that this year I would write about "My Life in 2024: Stepping into the Unknown."

I know my life this year will be full of challenges, ups, and downs. Why? In mid-December 2023, I started my own business. It's just very small. My parents had a kakanin business before, where my mother personally ran it. Since I am fond and passionate about making kakanin, I want to follow in my mother's footsteps. I want to run my own snack house business.

As a newbie in running your own business, it can be very challenging. You have to keep your focus on products and services, marketing, sales, and finance by yourself. I haven't hired people yet; I do it by myself as I don't have a physical store at this time. I hope soon I can get one. But for now, I only rely on online selling.

Why did I choose a native snacks business? Since I was a kid, I was already exposed to how it's done, and the flavors were already ingrained in my mind. I never find it difficult to make on my own. Second, I am passionate about it. They say that when building your own business, make sure you have a passion for it, as one is less likely to give up easily if passionate about what they are doing.

Are you not tired of making kakanin?" my sister once asked me. I found the answer in the very core of myself, and when I replied, I smiled at her and said, "I am happy with what I am doing.

This year will bring many challenges my way, but I'm not scared to step into the unknown. I know it will be filled with problems, but with a positive mindset, they can be solved. I understand that business requires hard work, patience, and perseverance. I am confident in myself, knowing that I am already equipped with these qualities, and now I can say I am ready to face the challenges again.
