If life isn't a battlefield, what else should we call it?

The more you think about it, the more you will realize that life has many things in common with a battlefield. Every moment is a struggle and anyone living in the moment surely wants to be the winner in everything they get involved with. That desire to win is what rules our dos and don'ts in more ways than we can imagine.

Little wonder why many people can push themselves to severe extents to achieve what they want.

We set our eyes on what we want to achieve, plan, make effort to achieve goals, check the results of our efforts, replan and the battle continues. Sometimes, we get involved with so much trial and error to get the best outcome from our effort. We watch the footsteps of our predecessors and try to do things their way to get the desired result.

They say a student trying to ace his academic courses must burn his night candles. Most of us did that and we stuffed ourselves with coffee and midnight snacks to avoid falling to slumber while trying to memorize those lines in textbooks.

Is that a sure pass to academic success in your part of the world? Please lemme know cus things are done differently over here. On one side, what you have upstairs counts but always be prepared to cross paths with that one person who would rate you based on the 'favours' you can grant him/her. Shame! I bet that's still part of life.

The struggle is real and I've seen too many people who get sandwiched in-between the struggles life throws on their path. You may have your financial issues which is already a mouthful and you are still getting the stick from things relating to physical health, mental health and in some cases family and friends.

That's when you see people rearrange priorities to avoid slipping into the deep. They know that a little mistake can be too costly and can ruin their life. And, things are interconnected in a way that when you face a crack in your finance, it can affect every other part of your life.

The saying that you can never be too careful has proved to be pure wisdom. We've got to calculate every move we make and we have to be extra careful of every step we take. What you call a little mistake can put you in all kinds of mess so, everyone tries to make the right choice in their life to avoid any regret. It's almost as if we are living our lives while walking on eggshells.
