JUNE Garden Journal Challenge | The last Plant this Summer

(Edited)
@riverflows Thank you for this Garden Journal Challenge. This June, I tried to tidy up my little garden. I will just consume/harvest the fruit of my pumpkin plant and replace it with watermelon.

I’m just having a bit of a hard time moving because of the extreme heat of the weather. It is good to know that the humidity has not started yet; otherwise, it will be more difficult to walk and plant.

The only really annoying thing was to steal one of my pumpkins again. Do I have to say again who took or stole the pumpkin? I don’t think it’s necessary and I might be accused of being racist.

However, two large pieces of wood were ready and a long green net to make columns so that they would no longer attempt to enter my small garden.

How are the Papaya and Othe plants?

Oh well, they are all fine as long as they are watered every day so that the soil does not dry out this summer. This papaya does not grow more than 2.5 meters and now it has a small fruit. This papaya is currently under observation as to how long it will last this summer.

I also wanted to share that Lemon Grass is resistant to heat, just don’t forget to hose it daily so the root doesn’t dry out.

What do you think of my dog? Is he cute! Haha. He is 3 months old and very playful. ^_^ His name is CASPER.

My problem with my dog and rabbit, they always run far, and hard to chase everyone. hahaha. But their poop is a big help for my plants. ^_^

Now, I have prepared the place where the two trees will move, the Tamarind and the Custard Apple. I just need to dig deeper and apply dried leaves and rotting skins of fruits and vegetables. I will also include the crushed egg shells.

Let's see after 1 week... ^_^

I’ll enjoy seeing all of you gardeners this year as I sit back and try to prepare myself for another try at planting. Last Summer our lettuce and tomatoes somewhat survived but we had problems with worms and rabbits eating everything else.

Casper is a cutie! Your garden is looking really healthy, nice work. I know how much work it takes to upkeep one, so congrats to you :)

That’s what really becomes the problem with lettuce and tomato, the worm. All I do is a weekly spray of crushed garlic juice mixed with water. I also have rabbits, but I confine them to our lobby. I pet them and I only feed them sweet potato shoot and watermelon skin.

CASPER is not really mine. We just take care of him and free supply of dog food. He is very playful because he is only 3 months old. ^_^

Hmmm garlic and water only? And it works pretty good? I’ll keep that in mind, thanks for sharing. I definitely want to use something natural like this that won’t be damaging to my plants.

Aww that’s sweet. Well he’s such a cutie :)

I so love your very cute Farmville my friend. A farmers reward, harvesting the fruits of their labor. Congrats with those pumpkins. Perfect for a squash leche flan and pumpkin soup. Awesome job!
