Neighborly Moringa Leaf Etiquette: Navigating Unintended Consequences

One of the plants or trees that is easy to take care of is the Moringa tree, also known as Horseradish in English. You can simply cut off an old branch and bury it in the ground, and it will thrive. In just a week, it will establish roots.

Last month, I decided to prune its branches to encourage new growth and to make it easier to harvest its leaves when they become larger. Both its leaves and fruit are used as ingredients in various dishes.

Each day, you can observe its rapid changes as new shoots and leaves quickly emerge, as long as you remember to water it at least once a week.

After 15 days, your Moringa tree will have transformed. I typically dry its leaves by hanging them without exposing them to direct sunlight. In just three days, the leaves become dry and brittle.

Unfortunately, because I am considerate of my neighbors, I allowed them to take Moringa leaves without notifying me. However, they mishandled the leaves, breaking other branches in the process, and left them without cleaning up.

You can see that my Moringa tree is nearly bare, with only one cluster of leaves remaining at the bottom. What many people may not realize is that the more vibrant, colorful green leaves are actually more nutritious than the lighter green ones.

By the way, I have a Facebook page where I upload videos that capture the daily happenings in my life. I find it easier to express my emotions through videos, and I always strive to be truthful. You can also see my plants there. Here's the link to my Facebook page: https://fb.watch/mZIyf-_wuD/?mibextid=ZbWKwL. Please follow me there.
