Nurturing Nature's Bounty with Organic Wisdom
I hadn't intended to harvest it yet, but the theft of my eggplant's fruit alarmed me. Upon returning from the office, I always check on my crops. Seeing that one of the eggplant fruits was missing, and not picked or cut properly, raised immediate concern.
I've harvested only one pumpkin so far, planning to give another to my friend next week. I hope it's not too late by then. Dealing with unknown thieves is perplexing; I'm unsure how to handle the situation.
I doubt anyone would attempt to steal the pumpkin wrapped in the green net. Doing so would be incredibly desperate and greedy. If I catch them in the act, I'm uncertain how I would handle the situation.
Despite the incident, I'm happy to have harvested my pumpkin crop in 2024, the first year of cultivation. However, I anticipated a larger size and weight, exceeding 4 kilograms, had this incident not occurred.
My pumpkin harvest weighed exactly 3 kilograms, and I'm confident it's organic. I water it with water that I've added to rotting vegetable and fruit skins, whose juice acts as a natural fertilizer. Alternatively, you can mix 1/2 cup of brown sugar, 1/2 cup of vinegar, and 1 quart of water to water the plant once a week.
I've learned these methods from watching videos, but it's important to remember that not all techniques are effective. Some content creators may prioritize views to earn money, rather than providing genuinely helpful information.

I'm considering stopping because all my hard work in writing is being ignored due to the downvotes of a toxic Leader of Filipino from hiveph. There are not too many people who take the time to trellis pumpkin or squash. I did that last year and it worked so nicely for me as well. It is too bad someone took your eggplant, I guess they really needed it.
I constructed a basic trellis using scrap materials, including wire sourced from my workplace site, where I collected discarded materials. ^_^
They really look awesome. It can be frustrating when you take the pain to nurse a crop to maturity only for a random person to come and steal it. Most of the time, my enthusiasm to just nurse supersedes the disappointment.
