LPUD! & my Wasted Time, Energy and my Sanity Reset.

This may be my last post for a while, especially around my wrestling with the InLeo front end. God knows I tried and tried to have faith in our Devs behind It but in my thinking its turning into a phobia. As much as I want to see Hive thrive and become main stream, I spent far too many hours away from my family needs I’ll need to step back. But my images won't upload and I'm posting late.

My ability to write has deteriorated, accompanied by the feeling that it was more like work rather than the enjoyment of writing. I’ve already spend too much time correcting my grammar, spelling and errors on top of second guessing our quirky front end wondering if my block chain interaction was actually completed, landing on a link somewhere other than the place I should be, and most often that “Error 300, were working on it.” screen. This post will be my forth of four InLeo trial posts and the Jury will be deliberating soon.

My most glaring need is to make up for lost time with my adult kids. Pulling double duty plus Hive over the last six years took a health toll on me and apparently it took a toll between myself and my sons. I missed far too many milestones.

I’ve set an evening together to do a family activity; Movie Night, an evening at the local arcade, shopping together, attend a local festival, the options are wide open. Lately it started with the popular world building game Minecraft but it wasn’t long until that shifted over to a different Minecraft, Deep Rock Galactic! On the Steam game platform.

A game first developed back in 2020 by Ghost Ship Games and published under Coffee Stain Publishing. That sounded good already, GHOST SHIP. The primary objective is climbing the company ladder mining for minerals including Gold, great! I like gold, even if it’s digital as in Minecraft. And like Minecraft it has it’s dangers and hazards but that is where the similarities end.

The setting is an orbital station orbiting a mineral rich world somewhere in the galaxy of some science fiction future. I didn’t get thee original memo as I am coming into the 4th Season rather than the inaugural first season. A fortune is to be made and what is in the way? We got very huge aggressive bugs, a persistent competitor, and various environmental hazards that can put to test any tough miner’s metal. Next to the standard last forever company issue pickaxe the miner is equipped with a bevy of upgradable weapons, armor, support equipment, and an endless supply of power up beer? (…warning, there is animated drinking.) 🍻

“Are we Dwarves or Eves?!” Actually, there are four classes of dwarves; the Gunner, Scout, Engineer and Driller. Apparently all male, “It’s the beard,” Whispered Aragorn to princess Eowyn. The game is much more fun as a team of four though it can be played solo with an accompanying customizable robot named Bosco.

The results so far?
Wrestling with the limited use of my bummed right arm and hand I do okay with the Gunner class protecting the rest of the team. But most of the time it was I that needed rescuing by my boys.
I think my kids want it that way. 😆

That game looks like fun! I had a lot of trouble uploading pictures today as well on Leo. I wanted to add several more but they just wouldn't load. I understand completely! I hope you are doing well and enjoying time with the kids.

I originally purchased Minecraft for my kids years ago, I played it when I used to have the time. Now imagine a Dwarf with an overclocked guided rocket launcher. You can imagine the creatures we're up against while we're trying to mine the mineral wealth. A game for Stackers. My kids enjoy rescuing me. 🕷
InLeo Devs got a lot of work to go.

I just finished re-potting a few more Strawberries outside, got a few more bags of soil and a nice change from sitting too long in front of my desktop.
Writing never comes easy to me, in high school I placed last of my class in written English until someone figured out I was Dyslexic. I wasn't surprised to discover that both my Sons were the same. Add Parkinson's in my right hand like lead weights tied around my wrist. Then add the quirky InLeo frontend and I now have a mountain to climb.
I'm looking forward to starting up my seeds this weekend and not worry about my next post

I skipped a lot of LPUDs, there's no way I can accumulate 150 Leo/month anyway.
When I was on Binance, I was able to trade my Dogecoin to BTC or BUSD before swapping for Hive. I don't have much trading options since Canada closed off coin exchange access to Canadian banks except for what little non-Hive equity I still have in the Hive ecosystem.
We have to grow our accounts the old fashioned way, "We have to earn it."

It is frustrating enough to write a simple sentence while working around my mental and physical writing issues, then add work arounds to all the quirks around InLeo on top of that. This post was supposed to be on InLeo by last evening only to fail to upload pictures. All my photos were optimized to under 750k Internet friendly size. The situation now forced me to rush with PeakD to post. It was close but I have not got a confirmation on achieving the LPUD badge. By 4 pm, my wrist was very sore and stiff.
I left a snapshot and my issue on their Discord, and I still await a reply as of the time of this comment.

I'm done with InLeo and no one can't say I gave it 4 chances.
I'm back with PeakD.

Take your time with your family, the rest can wait a little bit. I know sometimes at the bottom of our heart we want to continue to hit the milestone, but often times life has different plan the one that we should follow. : )
I am happy that you had a good time with the boy playing the games, just a matter of time before it will be my time. haha !LOLZ

I've taken most of this day off and put my other posts on the back burner, my veggie garden needs some tending to. I've worked double duty for years to meet my financial objectives while my best friend and roommate looked after my boys. She's gone now. I got a lot to make up with them but I can't turn back the clock.

Hello, my friend. I understand your situation with InLeo's front, it happens to me the same or worse. I publish quite often on it. However, I have to upload the photos to PeakD and copy the link, I have never even been able to make a thread. When I post it, it doesn't appear until several hours later. To solve this, I use tuitter to make the thread. It is a pity not to count on you so often. I'm really going to miss you a lot. We all need to understand that your health and family are a priority. Enjoy them very much, use as much time as possible for their well being. And if at any time you wish to talk, here is a Cuban willing to support you unconditionally. Take care of yourself; a big hug friend.

Pictures uploaded on InLeo don't show up on PeakD, that I'm already familiar, nor Hive.blog.io show any InLeo pictures. Tried using png format rather than jpg but no matter what, this is just another unnecessary work around and therefore another extra step when a smooth problem free upload is what is needed. This should be frustrating if I an a newbie.
I hope to recover as soon as possible.

I can immediately see that my kids relish the time spent with them.

When I asked he told me it was Hive.blog issue. In fact I think they replied to me on one of ur last posts comments. Week later they do a post claiming they fixed issue aka it was there issue. I’m also done with Leo. 2 much focus of growth without fixing basic stuff.

The game seems like loads of fun! I had a great deal of difficulty uploading images to Leofinance... they simply wouldn't load! I fully get it!

I bet you have a home to got to, a car to get you there, no balance to carry over to your next month's Credit card bill, and a big Stack of gold and silver. That kind of Better!

I'm preparing my home to take in someone I know that may be kicked out of their 'too expensive' rental. My kid's say they won't mind bunking back into one bedroom.

My 2024 municipal property utility taxes have an 8 to 10% increase on water, waste & sewage putting a lie to my government's 2.9% inflation figure they claim to be fact.
eventually I will be taxed out of my home some time down the line.

Family time is very important. It's hard to guard that time in today's world with so many distractions. Distance doesn't help either.

I have so many things going on in my head at this time, even my son knows that I spend far more time and effort on Hive and not enough time with family. I had to admit that he was right. Every post is a struggle as I spend more time fixing and correcting than the actual writing. So having a buggy front end just adds to my ordeal.

I'm no longer aggressively after Leo anymore. It's discouraging to put in the effort and yield so little. After years, I am convinced it is too difficult to earn no matter how well I conform to their blogging expectations.

I had the same problems with finding the time to post and to deal with the bugs and spelling. I mostly spend 45 mins in the morning upvoting and staying caught up. Inflation makes it hard to add to the stack but we are lucky we started years ago. Cheers to you!

I know when there is something wrong with me when I spend more than half an hour just to read and write a comment on a typical 5 minute post. Life's distractions are a part of it. Dealing with writing issues then add a quirky and buggy front end is too much at this time. Reset time. And spend more better quality time on offline things.

I should have first checked your post, then my question would be irrelevant (as answer to your comment). Real life always comes first and if you feel family time is needed more, I totally get you posting less or not at all for a while. I will surely miss your comments, as I always love seeing you pop up :)

ps, I always write my posts in Peakd, and with that I upload in Peakd as well, then copy it all to leo, as I too get frustrated by the errors otherwise..

My right hand gets sore more easily, I'll upvote most of the time and shorten or leave out my comments in most instances. Writing a post feels like climbing a mountain, there are barriers I have to overcome but it has taken longer to do as my own son pointed out. I can't put my time off with him anymore. At this point InLeo just adds to my issues.

Totally understandable to give that priority. Honestly, I've noticed myself when I had so much pain for months that the little time I could be productive, I often gave writing content priority and I didn't like realising that myself either.

Time is so valuable and we can't get it back once it's passed so I wish you nice moments with your son !LADY

And the issues aren't just you btw, I read lots of complaints..

Hi @Kerrislravenhill ,I understand what you are saying, the family, moments and circumstances of life with them, you never live a moment the same.
In relation to POWER UP, I used to do it, but I am no longer motivated to do it, it is NOT worth it, at least for me, I still have the annoyance of seeing my reputation , I hope to see 67 and down as if I didn't do anything here, I better not complain anymore hahahaha, sorry.
