A Grade 9 Student Princess Moment’s Once in a lifetime Experience

Hello Asean Hiver, it’s me back here @khailee23. I was out from blogging last time and busy in school. Our class will be finished soon, and there will be a break in classes, and I will have more time for blogging. I was happy today at our school prom last month; it made me so happy to join the prom. I thought that I couldn’t join because of no money, but I joined because my cousin has a gown that I borrowed.

That I can join because there's no need to rent; my cousin makes me borrow her gown and makeup, making me pretty for the prom. At first I am sad, but I'm surprised with my cousin doing that for me, making me so glad.

Our prom was last March 15, 2025, located at the Limketkai Center auditorium. Many joined the prom, and my classmate did too. We are all so pretty. I wore a royal blue gown; that’s my favorite color. I feel so beautiful because my cousin curled my hair and did my makeup so beautifully. Even though I’m not a professional makeup artist and used cheap cosmetics, I can’t afford expensive makeup.

My cousin bought her gown before when she was in grade 9, and now she is in college. She wanted to let other people rent her gown, but she made me use it for 1 day for free only. I would like to thank my cousin so much for that day. She made me so pretty, and that day was a special day for me.

The program started already at 12 noon in the afternoon with a free packed lunch. I went to the auditorium by 11 am in the morning because of the call time of 11:30 in the morning. After we were done with our lunch, the program continued with dancing and singing with the performers on the stage. We also had our dancing together with my male partner classmate for the formal dance performance.

There is also a live band until 8pm in the evening, and the food for dinner is also served. I enjoy the party so much, and after that, my classmates and I went to the milk tea shop, bought milk tea, and sat for a while.
Your cousin's blue gown looks beautiful on you. Thankfully you have a cousin who is generous and kind enough to let you borrow the gown. Enjoy your youth. Stay pretty.

Going to prom is one of the most unforgettable memories of high school—I'm so glad you got to experience it! It actually makes me think back to our junior prom a few years ago. That night was so fun and full of great memories.
