Hi, everyone! In a previous conversation with Edict3d on Chain Chatters, we asked him about his portfolio and which coins should be in everyone’s portfolios. He gave some interesting suggestions you should consider.

  • Bitcoin is a must-have in your portfolio
  • Privacy coins are going to be important in the future

  • A meme coin that gives you exposure to the meme coin community
  • A Dex token
  • And of course, Hive, which has a unique style of “Yield farming bandwidth”; staking gives you bandwidth without fees

Bitcoin is a must-have, definitely. It’s predictable, least risky. The risk-reward ratio is the most satisfactory. Privacy coins will become very important as well, maybe not this cycle but for the next one, once they start getting listed on Dexes. Having a privacy coin in a Dex makes all the other ones listed there private by proxy.

Community is a huge aspect of crypto, so gaming tokens and memecoins can be a good asset to have, if not for the value of the coin itself, for its community, it’s good to get exposure to those dynamics.

A Dex token is also important, currently Rune is doing great. And of course, a social media token like Hive, which has a unique way of remaining fee-less, we are basically yield farming bandwidth by staking. This is important for scalability; a user can operate on Hive virtually “for free”.

I’m severely lacking in the solona and meme coin departments. I know I should get into more projects that are better at preserving value but I’m a sucker for utility and things that work well.

I know dodge and bch makes a lot of cool tools and tries to build some use cases around their tokens. And both have been around for a min and probably have a good sized network. I think I might increase my bags in projects more than the newer ones… 🤔

I work too much to research a lot of the newer projects 😅

I hate meme's. And I can do NOTHING about it...

I deeply believe most (all?) today's memes will be history by year 2035.

dont make sense put money on something that isnt usefull. i see some projects and few have some utilities, like memecoin, that you can create some memes using they website, but is very week, and floki, that have a gaming ecosystem.

doge is disappointing me, nothing new unless the coin and the fast low fee transfers

Thankfully my Coti stake is transferring to Coti V2 and is going to be an Eth L2 privacy coin. This was not intentional and guess just lucky to already be involved staking. Memes I just cannot do because surely a real use case project will out perform them.
