Experiencing The Power of Nature
When I was younger, I didn’t like being in nature, for me, I hated the idea of being outside my home and whenever I thought about nature, I related it to the things that crept and crawled, and as someone who was incredibly scared of everything, that was enough reason to keep me away.
Due to this, I never had any experiences with nature, and even when I had to go out, I barely looked at the clouds or even went near any flowers, and now that I think about it, I was living a very sad life.
Anyways, my first experience with nature was after my father's death, we were at home after he had died and it was so chaotic because his siblings were causing a lot of drama, at that point, I couldn’t breathe because I had just lost my father and they weren’t giving me time to grief, so I ran away looking for solitude.
The only place I could find solitude was my mother’s garden, my mother loved planting veggies and food, so the garden was filled with trees and I could easily hide there without being spotted.
I had stayed in the garden under a tree for just a few minutes before something crazy happened; I heard my father’s voice saying that everything was going to be fine.
Now, I don’t know if it was my head playing tricks or what had happened that caused that but, at that moment, I felt safe and at peace; I knew that everything would turn out well which it did.
This experience changed everything for me and because of it, I found myself being in nature more and I can tell you that I have gained so much from it.
WHAT ARE SOME BENEFITS I HAVE GAINED FROM SPENDING TIME IN NATURE?
I have gained a lot of things from spending time in nature but, I think the most important for me has been clarity.
Whenever I am sad or feeling depressed, I know that taking a walk or going to my mother’s garden will give me clarity and that to me is amazing because I can barely get that anywhere else.
Other benefits include peace, warmth, comfort, and a feeling of safety which is crazy because I am still very scared of the things that creep and crawl.
MY FAVORITE PLACES IN NATURE
You might be curious about my favorite places in nature and the two places I find myself levitating toward in nature are first, my mother’s garden; I don’t know what I would do without it, and second, any place that has a source of water because I love water and I never get tired of looking at it move.
FINALLY,
Nature is a gift to us and it offers so much with its beauty and everything that it adds, I am so glad that I could experience it in the way I did because life without it would never be the same.
I have had so many great memories of being in nature and I can tell you that the power of nature is underrated because it can be a tool that heals, speaks, and changes lives.
This is my entry to #KISS for this week and I will be inviting @reineesmay and @princessbusayo to participate in this.

Nature will always be the best resource to escape from difficult moments, it provides us with fresh air, tranquility to calm our thoughts and sounds that help us to clear our minds.
It truly is, nothing can be compared to nature in being an escape
Nature is just so beautiful and colorful, we haven't seen it all but the few we've seen is just so fascinating.
It's just so amazing how nature helped you when you lost your dad.
Exactly, it is so beautiful and I am lucky to have experienced it when I did.
Yes you were indeed lucky 🥰.
Happy new month dear ❤️.
Happy New month babes
Thank you dear ❤️.
Nature is undoubtedly the best place that can give you peace, clarity, love, and so much more.
Staying close to nature helps your thinking faculty because of the calmness it brings, it fills the heart with great happiness that can not be found anywhere else, and the music it brings is so enchanting you'd spend your whole life there.
I am glad you found peace and kindness in nature and may your father's soul continue to rest in perfect peace. Amen.
All these things are so true about nature and it is sad that so many people don't have the chance to experience nature in this light.
Thank you so much for reading.
Yes, it is truly sad, you are most welcome dear🤗🤗.
Hello @khaleesii
I get you about being afraid of crawlies. I am the absolute same, but somehow I have always loved being outdoors in nature.
I remember doing somersaults on my lawn and just laying flat on the grass. I even loved doing so to look up at the stars... I enjoyed playing hide and seek at night too, and I found the atmosphere around my village, through my neighbour's backyard, and under the stars magical. I still have scars from walking through barbed wires at night playing that make me smile every time I look at them... memories are still fresh in my mind as if they were yesterday.
The funniest thing is that I have ALWAYS, and STILL have a morbid fear of crawlies, especially a particular reptile... but somehow, nothing deterred me from being out in the wild.
It makes me happy to know that you eventually found some connection with being in nature. Unfortunately, I have words of encouragement against crawlies though... 🤣
Thanks for your #KISS
I enjoyed it 😉
lips sealed
Welllll, I guess I'll just have to take nature in with the crawlies since I can't get rid of them.
You have so many good memories of nature, I can't wait to have more notable ones because hearing about yours makes me smile.
Thanks, it makes me smile reading all the different stories and experiences too:)
