WHAT WOULD YOU DO IF YOU HAD JUST ONE HOUR TO LIVE?
What would you do if you had just one hour to live, would you run to the bank to withdraw all you have, or would you try to spend all the money you have made?
Would you go to your office or your business and spend that hour there or would you try to drive all the cars you have bought?
I recently watched a video that spoke about the last words of people that were about to die and in that video, it showed that every one of them had regrets, not regrets about the money they didn’t make or the cars they didn’t drive but regrets about how they spent their time and how they didn’t tell the person they loved that they did.
You see, we live life pretty fast, chasing money, fame, and fortune, and most days we forget the things that are most important to us.
We miss birthdays, parties, and important events just because we have work or a project we consider important.
We focus so much on the things that are not important that we forget the things that are.
We fall into depression just because we haven’t made a certain amount of money or we aren’t living life a certain way.
We wake up daily envying other people not because of their family or the beauty they share but because of the material things that they have.
We barely enjoy the moment because we are stuck overthinking about things that we wouldn’t even remember in a few years.
What would you do if you had just one hour to live?
Would you finally realize that there is a lot more to life than the little things we let control our lives?
It is so sad the way we live these days.

I'd get a helicopter to drop me off near the top of the nearest mountain, hike the last bit to the top with my family and we'd sit and watch the sunset together and just take it all in; contemplative and at one with creation 😍
I think this would be an awesome plan, spending your last moments with family and nature.
if i had an hour to live i would like to do one or two things: be alone with my thoughts, reflect on the life I have lived or spend the last hour I have with the people who matter to me. I have had this thought a couple of times and I can say I am happy with the life I have loved. It might not be the most exciting but I am grateful for the life I have lived.
This is very rare you know, most people I know including me would have a lot of regrets and would like to change a lot of things.
It is good that you have no regrets, what better way to live.
If I had just one hour…I’d arrange my estate. I’m very practical. I think I’d also arrange a tech service to “edit” my devices and a cleaning service to clean my place. Some things your parents don’t need to know. I’d donate to causes i think are good and say (text) goodbye to everyone. I’d probably spend my last minutes re-reading a favorite story.
I think a lot of people wouldn't bother about the mess that might be left behind, interesting to hear you say that.
The first thing that came to my mind when I saw this article is a song by JP SAXE & Julia Micheal - If the world was ending.
Honestly it's kinda scary for me to think about it. I honestly don't know what I'll do because I shy away from giving a thought to it.
But I think at the very least I'd love to spend the last hour with someone that I care about.
I know how scary it can feel, I barely thought about death till I lost my dad.
Spending that hour with a loved one would be amazing.
I would invite all people I love. I would NEED to have them around me. wouldnt tell them them that I leave, just enjoying wonderful time together. Telling tho one or other word, wich maybe is needed to be told. We would have a great party with the music and food I love. And I would give them the keys to my HIVE fortune ;-)
I think this is an amazing plan but sadly if you do this here most people would come late and you wouldn't get to spend your hour with them.
OH, ok... so maybe lets say... you have a little time to plan your last hour?
If not, would change it into writing letters, no not enough time.... writing one letter on HIVE to all my real friends and those I know here, keeping that short and spending time with my loved.
I would like that, writing a letter to the important people in my life.
I think that would be pretty cool, and some might reminisce on it after.
What a great question you have here. It does make us think about what's really important which usually is nonmaterial things, but those we love the most.
Yeah, most times we forget what is important and focus on what isn't.
I am actually guilty of this at times so always try to keep a balance between work, play and family :)
I am trying to keep this balance, it gets hard sometimes.
I understand :) But at least we are aware so hopefully, we won't take things for granted :)
Yeah, awareness is key.
Important things to think about, perspective on what's really important in life. We have to remember to enjoy the little things, enjoy our free time, enjoy the people we love, enjoy nature.
I think if I had one hour to live, I'd get pretty stressed out, because I would have liked to know a little sooner! But okay, I'd eat chocolate, call mum, hug hubby and make sure he's as well prepared for everything that happens after I die as he can be. Tell him where to find my crypto's and how to get to them probably... 😅 Tell him about insurances he has to look into. Just get those things in order for him. Practical stuff!
The main reason I wrote it is that I realized that I have been so bothered about trivial things and it got me thinking.

Would just love to be around loved ones, that'll be more than enough.
I would go to thank my parents, teachers, friends and relatives for the love, support and care they showered upon me.I would go to let them know my love for them.
This is so heart whelming, didn't even think of this.
Thoughts like this scare me a lot. I'll probably spend it with the people that matter the most to me.
I understand why it could be scary, most time we don't like to think about the end but it does put things in perspective.

This is really a strong question. Overtime though, I try to live my life daily as the last day. Hence, if I have just an hour left, it will be about reflection and the joy that I left my footprints in the hearts of many.
That is an amazing way to live, for me, I have realized that I have been barely living if that makes sense.
I hope to learn to live like you do soon.

There are so many distractions these days that we fail to realize that there are certain things we feel are little but are important.
