The Play2Earn Report - Time To Recharge

It's been another stressful week for me with a lot going on both in the crypto and in the real world. To tell the truth, I feel a bit burned out at the moment as there are simply too many things I try to accomplish at the same time. To cope with that, I'll go on another hiking trip this weekend. This usually helps me to get a clear mind and to recharge my batteries. Nevertheless, I will have to cut some things I'm doing at the moment. The day only has so many hours and I just can't keep up with all the things I'm into at the moment. Most likely I'll drop some more of the games I play and follow and also reevaluate some of the other projects I'm active in. This won't have any impact on the Play2Earn report, though, I'll definitely keep doing these!

So let's take a look at my token holdings first:

I have to say, just looking at these numbers really helps to remind me why I want to keep doing what I do. My LEO stack alone is worth 10,567$ right now and like all the other tokens, it's still growing all the time. I don't feel any pressure to sell anything from the list above - these tokens are all there to stay! I managed to more than double my staked LENM during the last week. Starting from today, they will be sold at 5 Hive instead of 4 but I nevertheless want to acquire some more until I get to about 100. Liotes is looking pretty cool so far and I feel like it's another project that will really pay off long term.

Next, let's take a look at the games I'm most involved with:

Splinterlands

After a botched end of season things are already looking a lot better again. I've managed to place 12th in the BAT champion tournament which earned me a nice 15,000 DEC. I found the format of Untamed Dice Reward to be pretty odd and I only was competitive in 4 of the 6 splinters. Luckily that wasn't an issue in round 1 where I only lost one match due to not having a maxed level summoner available. I wasn't that lucky in round 2 but I'm still more than happy with the rank I got and the DEC I won.

I've also gotten a Byzantine Kitty from the recent Untamed airdrop. This is already the second legendary summoner I got that way which is pretty impressive considering I only bought like 15 boosters before I realized that I should focus on buying singles. Cool enough, it's not even a week since the last airdrop and we are already 38,000 sold booster packs towards the next air drop again. It certainly feels like things are picking up nicely for Splinterlands.

Guild Brawls are also pretty close to being released by now which should be another amazing addition to the game. And after that, we'll eventually see the land release. Splinterlands is slowly but steadily turning towards a full time job... ;-)

Doctor Who Worlds Apart

I just have to mention Doctor Who although I don't have any news on the game itself. Nevertheless, it serves to prove how powerful having referrals for a game can be. I've been promoting it for a while now and I get 10% of all purchases made by people refereed by me. This has allowed me to buy a total of 28 booster packs, worth 140$ in total. That's quite a nice sum considering the game isn't even close to being launched yet. With the BBC backing the whole thing and Doctor Who being the powerful franchise it is, I'm pretty confident to fetch a nice price for many of these Alpha edition cards eventually!

eXode

It's alive! There has been a sneaky little addition to the development-log this Wednesday. Here you can access a first glimpse at what the colonization pass is going to look like. So far, it's only a tiny first impression with buttons not working yet. But it's already enough to give you an idea of what's going to be available there. We can also see a first draft of objectives to complete during the pass:

It's going to be so much fun trying to accomplish all these objectives! I'm not completely sure about colonization still in March, but we are certainly getting there. The menu at the right also certainly tells a story about how deep this is all going to be. Exciting times ahead for eXode!

Alien Worlds

If you haven't seen it yet, Alien Worlds released a pretty nice trailer over on Youtube. I'm a bit less active there than what I used to be, mostly because of the horrible way R-Planet went but also simply for the fact that there's just not terribly much to do in the game at the moment. I still mine every now and then but really, I've been a lot more active in the early days of the project. Things may change again eventually and I hear they already had more than 50,000 unique WAX addresses play the game which is quite the feat. We'll see where things are going for Alien Worlds, for now I won't hold or track any tokens, though.

Conclusion

And well, that's basically it. As you can see yourself, not many games, not many amazing news. I really need some fresh energy to get back into everything. There are amazing and promising games out there - Splinterlands, eXode, but I'm really fed up with a lot of what the rest has been doing. I think it's normal to have some weak phases eventually, but the blockchain gaming world certainly is doing its part to annoy me.
