Rough draft of my Pinky and Spiky comics entry
Hello Pinky and Spiky fans,
I am polishing my Pinky and Spiky characters because it's been years when I last drew their images and I am afraid I have gone rusty with my drawing already so I revisited my old drawing and tried my best to be consistent with the looks of Pinky and Spiky.

The sketch above is the finished drawing of my characters I am glad after a few years of hiatus I was able to create something that looks like my past drawings. I kept the colors and shapes like how I used to make them. The big round eyes and the overall cute appearance.
Here is how I made my entry to the Pinky and Spiky revival comics making contest. The theme this week is mushroom foraging.

I am thinking deep into the woods kind of scene because that is where the mushrooms grow based from my story. Here I like an oak tree that shed it's leaves and there is an overgrowth of mushrooms around its trunk. Some mushrooms are found on the ground too. A tall grass here and there would help me in telling a story about mushrooms, where they grow what color and how they look like

Up close the mushrooms I drew here are the ones that come in one stalk with several branches and cream in color the edible kind. On my old pinky and Spiky drawings I had used these colors in teal and khaki I think they look nice on mushroom related panels.

I tried exploring the positions of the duo where and how they face each other during their conversation. I am already thinking about the story and how funny it could be. This is the challenging part. Before the right story emerge I must finish all the details and worry about dialogue later

This is the semi finished comics. Top and bottom panels now identified and sorted. I somehow got the story idea at this point it just needs revisions and polishing. I just want to show you today the steps on how I made the rough sketch of my comics.
Thank you for stopping by
I can't wait to see the finished drawing
