Hello, food enthusiast friends, how are you all? I hope you all are well and healthy and enjoying your Sunday. I am also doing well, so today I am sharing a lipstick recipe with you.

It is a flavorful and delicious vegetable khichdi made with mixed vegetables, lentils, rice, onions, tomatoes, herbs, and spices. When you are too tired to cook, this is an excellent one-pot recipe! This masala khichdi is a comforting, tasty, and healthy meal option for lunch or dinner, especially when served with yogurt, papad, and pickles.

So let's learn how to make it. It takes 30 minutes to prepare and is very easy to make.

#🍁Ingredients🍁

  • 1 cup rice
  • 1 cup mixed lentils
  • 1-2 teaspoons turmeric
  • Red chili powder as per taste
  • Salt to taste
  • 5-6 cups water

🍁For Tempering🍁

☘️1 cup finely chopped onions and tomatoes
☘️ 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
☘️ 1/2 cup finely chopped carrots
☘️3-4 green chilies
🍀2 potatoes
🍀 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
☘️2-3 tablespoons oil
☘️Salt to taste

🍁Cooking Method🍁

First, rinse the mixed lentils thoroughly and soak them in water for about 20 minutes along with 1 cup of rice.

In a separate pan, heat oil and add cumin seeds for tempering.

Add all the chopped vegetables and green chilies to the tempering and sauté for 2 minutes.

4.step
Then add tomatoes and cook for another 2 minutes.

5.step
Add the soaked lentils and rice mixture to the pan along with turmeric, red chili powder, and salt according to taste.

6.step
Pour in 4 cups of water, cover with a lid, and let it cook on medium heat until one whistle on the pressure cooker.

    Turn off the gas and let it rest for 2 minutes before opening the pressure cooker.

. Your delicious khichdi is ready to be served. Enjoy it with yogurt, papad, pickles, and chutney.
