Veterancy will require experience, and previously I mentioned that the learning curve of Spliterlands have an exponential nature, which means learning growth is quite difficult at the start, but become more easy at later stage.

So here I will share a flash tip of starting in Splinterlands based on my experience.

1. Put Some Budget On Your Account
   You can always start the game with nothing. You will be provided with several Starter cards. You could land on some battle freely, although you won't get any rewards without purchasing the Summoner book. But fighting with only Starter cards will bring you nowhere far. Put some money into your account! Purchase and unbox some packs, or purchase some reward cards from secondary market. There're a lot of listed cards at affordable prices ready to be chosen.

2. Study, Study, Study, and Memorize The Cards
   Put some mental works to study and memorize the parameter of each and every cards useable in the battle format. Wild format might prove to be more difficult since it encompass larger cards collection. Modern format is a slight more easier since the editions are limited. Memorize their mana value, health, speed, damage, attack type, and far from that the abilities possessed for that particular cards level. Test yourself until you could recall their profile by staring at their pictures only. This is important especially during beginning of any battle, where the past 5 battles of your opponent are displayed for your assessment. The importance of budget in the first tip is being underlined, because only through using the cards on actual battle, that you will comprehend their use.

3. Don't Expect Too Much On Rewards To Grow Your Collection
   This is a play-to-earn crypto gaming, so it's normal for everyone to expect everyone to gain some profit out of it. But if you just entered the Bronze League, don't expect too much on those rewards. Don't expect too much about plowing back those rewards to grow your collection. The game has been very competitive currently, with no-win no-rewards result. Just focus on polishing your battle skill first. Invest on your collection periodically, rather than largely at once. And after all the name play-to-earn hold playing over earning, so just have fun on playing than pursuing target.

4. The Secret Is In The Balance
   Any new players will always find their eyes stuck into the Summoner cards. Its all make sense, since you're provided with more limited number of Summoners, and you will deploy the same Summoner for most of the battle. Summoner provides certain buff, one of which will attract players to deploy cards which benefit from such ability. This will lead to a predictability which will become a great weakness. Set aside those preference and put a more balanced formation. Try as much to deploy at least 1 (one) card from each attack type.

5. Find Yourself A Constructive Guilds
   I found Guilds to bring 2 (two) great benefits for players. They provide a way to interact and gain knowledge from veteran players. Guilds allows players to join a Brawl, where the rewards are quite promising for Bronze League players. Other than that Guilds are facilitated with buildings which provide several boost on earned rewards and also purchase for Gladius packs.
