Hive Power Up Day - 1st of September
It's hard to believe it's been a month already, it feels like the summer only started a few weeks ago, and no we're steadily heading out of it completely. The weather was fairly crap here for the entire time, bar a few scorching days where we were able to get out and actually enjoy it.
I had so many plans for this summer, and barely any of them came to fruition due to the bad weather, we did get a few nice days out with Kaleb though, so that was good.
Blogging
I've managed to keep up the daily blogs, but just barely. There have been so many days where I remember late in the evening and that leaves me barely any time to get on.
Luckily I write down notes for ideas to write about, save drafts, and on the very rare occasion I actually manage to write a second or even third post in one day which I can upload.
eBay
Things have been going fairly well, and I've managed to sell a fair bit this month. I'm so close to reclaiming the initial money I put into it, which is exciting because that means anything I make after that is all profit, and I can re-invest those earnings into buying some new stuff, and I can also put some money into kitting out my office space to allow me to organise it a bit better.
I need the room to function as an office and also as a little stock room. Right now, it's basically a stock room, with a small portion of it taken up by a desk. It's cluttered, messy, and hard to use, and it's also disheartening to see it like this after decorating and doing it up recently.
The Stake
I started off today with 17,173HP
I know everyone is a bit down about the price of everything now, not just Hive, but the entire market essentially. I'm hoping for it to recover and start moving in the upward direction we're all waiting for, but at the same time, I'm patient, and I'm happy to hold on for as long as we need to.
The price being down has given me, and many others, a chance to earn and grow their accounts, and it has also given opportunities for us to buy into some projects at a decent enough price.
I decided to only power up by 27 Hive this month.
I'm holding off for now, because I could kind of do with the money, and I'm thinking of cashing out my liquid when it gets to a good price. My aim is .40 cent, but I'd probably sell it at .35.
It's just too low now to sell, and I'm not even considering it currently.
With that 27 Hive, I've now reached 17,200 HP
I'm so close to reaching my goal for the year, which is 20k, and to be honest, I could almost have it right now if I powered up everything.
While that would be amazing, I can't really do it. I've put a lot of my own skin in up to this point, and with these couple of crashes, I'm a bit shaken, to be honest, and would rather have some on hand to take out at a decent price.
But, that could all change once we start moving up again, and I may at that moment power it all up, and ride the wave. Who knows?
It's definitely too low to want to sell $HIVE for now. The market is just crap, but we have something of real value here. If only more people would give it a go...
People are coming, but at the current rate it's not good enough. I think we seriously need some decent marketing. I see countless ads for Temu, and other things like that, and I know they have major budgets, but we do too, especially if we all threw into a pot, or something, in order to produce a couple of short ads, and pay to have them showing up on YT and places like that.
There have been some attempts at marketing, but it's not easy. We do have the Hive rally car.
Are you going to Hivefest? There will be lots of talk about marketing there.
Thanks for reminding me.
You're welcome

Kills I'm trying to reach you for a while now. Are you not using your Discord anymore?
Oh damn, sorry man, I haven't been on Discord in a good while and haven't been getting notifications for a bunch of apps, Ecency included, I'll go over now.
For organising your office/stockroom, can I suggest looking at Really Useful Boxes ? They are good and sturdy, strong enough to stack nicely right up to ceiling height, and the lids clip on firmly.
I use a bit of brown tape and Sharpies to label each one. You can give each box a number then build that number into your eBay Custom label field. Having a spreadsheet telling you what's in each box and whether it's listed, ready to sell, or needs prep work will make everything massively more organised and tidy. But narrow down to just 2 or 3 sizes of box, ideally ones which will mutually stack (e.g. a deep and shallow one of the same footprint).
That's actually a really good idea. I was just going to go for shelving units, but stackable storage boxes could be a really good alternative to that.
I'm fairly sure I could pick a stack of them up relatively cheap.
