Okay, so as some of you may know I'm hosting a writing contest at the moment, in which, the entrants of the contest are asked to continue on a story I wrote, Here!

Recap of The Story You Have To Continue From
Jessup is visited by his friend or (Fren) Faller. Faller is in distress and upon entering Jessup's house, he knows why. Faller had been at an exchange with some Snatchers, (People who harvest their victim's Psybernetics, to sell them on the black market.) The deal commenced and after the exchange, the location was raided by the ZPD. (Cops)

Faller got away, but, not before hearing the Snatchers call him a rat, believing him to have informed on them. Faller has been shot, there are a lot of illegal blood-speckled Psybernetics out on the kitchen table.

This is where your character comes in. After a long day at work, you arrive back to see your roommate and a stranger with guns drawn. Along with all of the booster gear. You know you'll be executed along with Jessup and Faller, should the ZPD raid the house, because you understand the penalty for organ and psybernetics harvesters.

Character Details

Your character works as a Dolly, slang for Sex Doll, or Sex Worker. For some world details, you live on the 3rd story of Zeelis. It is dangerous and gets worse the closer to the ground floor of the city you are.

Just because you are on the 3rd floor doesn't mean your life is easy, but, it isn't as brutal as it could be on the ground floor.

I just want to reiterate that the character's name isn't Dolly, they work as a Dolly. You are free however to name the character what you wish, but I just wanted to make that clear.

The World

Zeelis is a mega-city, green and purple mists from the "Incident" 20 years ago have made it impossible to survive outdoors without protective masks and breathing apparatuses.

It is a brutal world, set in a Sci-fi, Dystopian, and Cyberpunk backdrop, along with all the hallmarks that come with those genres. There are Cybernetics or Psybernetics in this world. They cost a lot of money and are usually only worn by the rich who live on the upper floors of Zeelis. There are roving gangs who would gladly rip the Psybernetics off your back if it meant a shot at leaving the lower levels to climb one more floor. Money is everything in this world, without it, you're as good as dead. But, don't take it personally when someone robs you, it's only Biz.

If you are a member of the Discord server, you may notice the Syndicates. Those are all tribes here on Hive, who have in-game Factions and lore, feel free to create some fiction based around them, to add to your story.

Competition Details

You are expected to continue the story in the same vein as the first chapter, so that is well worth reading if you want to enter this contest.

You are free to be as graphic as you would like to be, just make sure to tag NSFW if you feel you should.

Your piece should be between 750 and 1250 words, but, if you are under or over that count, that's okay. Just remember quality over quantity. How well-written and produced your work is, counts. It will be a factor when deciding on winners.

Also, with lore, you can create your own world-building content for your piece, don't feel like you need to research Psyber X to write a compelling piece, the more you know about it is great. But, I would rather see people create their own lore and world-building elements to fill the gaps in their work. Creativity is key, so get creative.
