Man, Empire At War is an amazing game and one which I only heard about a few years ago. I've played some of the ground battles, but the space battle are my favourite. I love that they included tons of stuff from the EU... well, old EU, now Legends.

The game was clearly made by fans, which is something that is hard to come across these days.

Absolutely, and same! The space battles in that game are top tier, and probably my favorite star wars space battles so far.

I'd love to see a remake, or a new RTS like that. Did you ever play Battle For Middle Earth 2? That was an amazing one too. I haven't played it in so long, but I'd like to get back on it.

They actually don't own the rights anymore, so can't sell the game on Steam and other places like that. But, you can still pick up physical copies. It's worth checking out of you like LOTR, attention to detail and RTS games.
