It's pretty tough, but that's the tradition. If it was me, I'd just ignore all the customs and do a simple wedding with close ones. The ones that will talk bad about you for not inviting them will only do it for two, three weeks? Then, everyone move on with their lives. As long as you aren't committing crimes in the eyes of God, then no problem.
