CHELSEA FOR LIFE

So yesterday we had a disappointing draw against Arsenal after putting up a commendable performance which wasn't expected seeing the club's unstable performance from the beginning of the season. A lot of the players have really improved, but there are still mistakes the club needs to tackle upfront and in defense. Nevertheless, I've been a Chelsea fan from my childhood days, and I don't see myself changing clubs anytime soon.

I remember the first Chelsea game I ever watched as a child, it was the semi finals of Chelsea vs Barcelona in 2012. I can't remember the entire details of that game, but Torres scored the winning goal, and it was electrifying to watch. I remember how defense turned to attack in split seconds, Chelsea had conceded a corner and were doing everything to defend. Before you could say jack, Bacelona had taken the corner, and a defender sent the ball upfront. Torres was just in place to get the ball, he beat the last defender and keeper with his speed, and it was a goooaaallll. I can't even remember the final score, but I know Chelsea won the game.

My dad was already a Chelsea fan, so it was pretty easy to love the club after that. I'm not a fan because I play bet like many other fans, I just loved the club for who they were then. A small club coming into the light, with the likes of Didier Drogba, Frank Lampard, Michael Essien, Keeper Cech, David Luiz, John Terry, to mention but a few. Most of these players then became among the best in the positions they played, but they were mostly made of people who were never known. Today Chelsea is on a project to build a team of young players who will take the club's legacy to the next level.

I look at the players the club now has, and I'm seeing a spark of what those who were in the club's first champions league triumph had. You look at players like Enzo Frenandez, Nicholas Jackson, Mykhailo Mudryk, Cole Palmer, Levi Colwill, Axel Disasi, Bonoit Badiashile, to mention but a few… These players and more are rising with talents, skills and hard work showing in their games. Although many still have a lot to improve on, I'm sure it's something the coach will be able to work on, and in no time Chelsea FC will become title contenders again.

Although I love and support Chelsea football club, there's a concern I have with some of the current players. Players like Reece James and Ben Chilwell who are though one of our very best players, outstanding in their positions, suffer from injury woes. This has really affected the team in recent times, and as a fan I hope it's something the club can try to work on. There could be different reasons as to why they are injury prone, but if it can be tackled, next season might be our season lol. The new owners have broken the bank on back to back seasons in a bid to build the project they have clearly stated, and in my opinion, I think the club is on the right path to achieving their long term goals.

Good one friend, I see we are competitors, lol. I am a diehard Man UTD fan and I know the relationship we have with Chelsea. I can see Daddy set the pace for you to be a chelsea fan kinda, and I hope they won't disappoint you this season.
