EVERY GROWTH IS AN ACHIEVEMENT

Strength and growth come only through continuous effort and struggle.

I came across the book "Think and grow rich" some years back, one thing that majorly caught my interest from Napoleon Hill research about successfully Men was the consistency in how they choose to grow. The list goes on and on, every small achievement paved way for bigger ones, it's as though it's a natural phenomena because it's the small achievement that keeps one consistent enough to achieve bigger results. This has been why I will always celebrate my small achievement, most might be insignificant to many, but to me the are small achievement that keeps me going whenever I get to the point of giving up on my goals.

It's okay to say the year is already running at the speed of light, at least from my end it is. I remember reading so much about goals from other content creators, for me entering into 2023, it was as though time to actualize these goals is at hand and to be honest, I was weary of even starting, but I started anyway. The journey still seems quite, but then there are signs I can't just ignore which has gone a long way although in keeping me in my goals pursuit.

Some time ago I talked about my hive goals, if you care you can check them here. Well it's been almost two weeks into the year, and I must admit its not easy to stay consistent, but I'm getting use to it. Already I'm doing very well with my consistency and I've already gotten two out of the twenty weekly badges I set as a goal. 10% up, I'm still pushing for another one.

At a point this week my consistency was challenged by constant interruptions in power supply and a very bad battery from my phone. Three days back was like the climax of it, when my phone wouldn't work, it's pretty old though so it's okay for these things to fail, but then I haven't gotten money for a new battery just yet. When it stopped working 3days back, it was funny how the first thing that came to mind was that I wouldn't be able to continue the pursuit to achieving my hive goals for this month, so I immediately took it up for repair without having a Kobo on me. When the technician finally fixed it, it was time to pay but I wasn't having the charge on me, so I pretended that network was bad. (Actually used the bad network happening as an excuse to see how I can get money) so I left the phone with him and went out to look for money, but then there was no money anywhere. After about 5 hours of looking for money, I remembered I still had about 5.75 HBD, though I never planned on selling but it was the only option if I am to continue in my pursuit of achieving my goals for the month, so I sold it.

I was able to write a piece of freewrite on the freewriters community because I was too tired to write anything long, but then I needed to keep the streak on. Note that I wasn't writing to make money this time. (But then I will be happy if something should come out of it) I was writing to achieve my weekly target.

Fast forward to today, It came to my notice that I won the zapfic50monday challenge for this week. (I have never emerged runner up for a writing challenge talk less of winning it.) I wasn't happy because of the price, I was happy that my consistency has lead me into achieving another goal I thought would take me up to 3 months to win.

This might be a small achievement to some, but it has given me the inspiration and zeal to keep going in my pursuit to achieving my hive goals.

If you can relate with this, or have ever been in a position of almost giving up on a goal, feel free to share in comments section.
