If you have ever suck at something, it should be easy to relate with this story.

Once again you are welcome to my blog and if you are visiting for the first time, my name is Kelvin, popularly known as klvnrex. Follow me as I take you through an amazing journey of true life story telling, and I hope you learn a thing or two.

I remember sometime ago, a friend of mine (Jonny as we normally call him)was going through depression, I and some other friends visited him with the intention of cheering him up, on getting to his place we saw him crying with his passport in his hand, knowing fully well he had applied for visa to the United Kingdom we hurried took the passport from him out of curiosity only to find out he was denied visa which now had added to his depression. Frankly speaking I didn't know what to say to him anymore, he'd lost his job, his girlfriend and now denied visa. It was one hell of an awkward moment as four of us surrounded him without saying a word. I hate being in position where I have to console someone, I never get the right words, most times I would go blank on words to say and that day was one of such days where I went blank on words to say.

In the process of thinking about what to say, one of the most sarcastic among us who happen to be Jonny's best friend decided to open his mouth only to spite out something deep. In his words he said

"Bro listen, with everything going on around you, you should know something, we are very much with you on this, and you know we're not failures, we are worse."

Immediately I heard that I replied him "you and who? Bro if you two are failures, I'm not."
I took it as one of his sarcastic talks only for him to explain further. Again in his words he said something I will never forget.

"How many of us can boldy say we have succeeded in something we have never failed in? For a seed to become a tree it must completely meet death in the ground."

It was at this moment everything made sense to me. Of a truth where has true success ever been seen, if not in the midst of many failures. One cannot say he has truly succeeded in something he has never failed in, and looking at the world system I think that's just how everything works. For a baby to successfully sit that baby must fall, and for the baby to successfully stand, walk and run that baby must fall.

Failure is a part of our live that we don't like to accept, and accepting it isn't what will make you succeed rather it is the failures we learn from that we succeed in the most. So before we try to cast blames and point fingers or look for excuses and reasons we fail, we should first learn from it so we can avoid failing that way again.

failure always hurts us. but he taught a meaningful lesson. someone even once said: pain that doesn't kill you, will strengthen you.

But, yeah.. Failure still hurts.

Hurts
