Fondness (মমতা)- Original Sketch

Inspiration -
Women, in favor of women there is not much to say, action speaks louder than words. Nurture speaks fluent than action. Women are not only gender but, a feeling of respect, a feeling of gratitude, a feeling of bulged emotions. Women are of multiple dimensions like men, their discourse is similar to that of men but never the same. This young lady whom I tried to sketch was a woman of colors and light. There is not much to say from my side, but I feel content. You can notice the excessive use of hatching forms, it was only to match the pattern of her color. The color she blooms with, her inner light.

Tips -

• Visualize, align and outline your sketch at the beginning.
• Start with a pencil sketch to make your hand flexible, then move on to a pen sketch.
• The different forms of hatching depict shadows of varied gradient
• Play with darkness and light to suit the painting's tone.
• Portrayal of light and dark shades are also significant in determining the position of light and also makes the portrait more alive.
• Plan ahead of time how will you project the edges and shadows.

• Using different forms of hatching on the face
• Shading the hair
• Shading the chin
• Shading the specs and eyes
