"মেয়ে//Meye"- Original Sketch Art

Sketched by me, captured with Samsung Galaxy J5

Inspiration -
This sketch is a very old one as I recall now. I captured this last year, yet it feels long back. About sketching, the more you sketch the faster it becomes old. It works with all types of work I guess, not only sketching. Today, I was reviewing my collections when I found this sketch of mine and it reminded me of this song by Ayub Bacchu, namely "মেয়ে//Meye". So, I thought to share.

"Meye tumi ki akash cheno, cheno na
Tobe chinbe kemon kore ai amake...
Tobe Chinbe kemon kore ai amake...

Meye tumi raat ki bojho, bojho na
Tobe bujhbe kemon kore ai amake...
Tobe chinbe kemon kore ai amake..."

Tips -
• Visualize, align and outline your sketch at the beginning.
• Start with a pencil sketch to make your hand flexible, then move on to a pen sketch.
• The different forms of hatching depict shadows of varied gradient
• Play with darkness and light to suit the painting's tone.
• Portrayal of light and dark shades are also significant in determining the position of light and also makes the portrait more alive.
