Anna is missing.

"Okay baby hop into the car" I opened the car door for my daughter to get in with my pinky finger as my other hands were all occupied with her bags and mine including other properties of our needed for the day. Literally I had my two hands occupied with stuffs.

I quickly threw the other luggages in the back of the car after I've made sure Anna was comfortably seated in the front passenger seat. She was late for school and I for work.

This was my daily routine. The life of a single Mum but I never complained. Who am I gonna complain to?. I loved it and I was ready when I signed up to be a Mum. Although I didn't expect my husband to leave us so soon. Ever since he left it has been me combining between being a good mum and a CEO.

Stepping into the driver's seat I buckled Anna up and ignited the car. After much dodging of traffic and the regular yelling from reckless drivers in the streets of Lagos. We arrived at Anna's school. Quickly walking her into her class lessons were already ongoing, I let her teacher know why we were late and promised not to let it happen again.

My next stop was my office and thank God I was my own boss so I had no one to explain to why I was late. Nobody to shout at me. Few minutes later I was at my office. I got out of the car and headed inside. It was still morning but I was already tired like I someone who had worked all day.

Just like everyother day. Today wasabisy day for me. Now I knew why my husband always came home tired and stressed out that he barely had time for me. His company was the only thing of his I had left.

I tried working in between signing documents which I had to thoroughly proofread and sending emails to my clients. That didn't know when it was time to pick Anna from school. I was only alerted when my phone rang from a strange number. I picked up and on the other end was Anna's teacher informing me that I'm 3 hours late in picking Anna from school. I checked my watch it was evening already. Immediately I grabbed my bag and left the office for Anna's school.

Getting to the school, it looked deserted. I called Anna's teacher and she told me she had left Anna with the security man as she needed to take her own kids home too to rest. I enquired from the security.

"Ah madam, one man was here for her few minutes ago"

"Man?" I asked surprised "I didn't send anyone, I live alone with my daughter" I replied.

To quench my doubt he provided the book parents were meant to sign after picking up their kids up from school. And clearly written on it was a familiar name and signature. I tried wiping my eye and read again still the same was my my late husband's name and signature

"How possible is this?" I asked no one in particular. "I watched him die" I looked up to the security. "Anna has been picked by a ghost"
