Celebrating 20 years on stage

avatar

Greetings everyone.

I didn't know what was up until yesterday when I took a walk to YouTube, and on my first page, I met "D'banj celebrating 20 years On Stage," and what came out from my mouth was a 'wow!'
Anyone who knows me up to 30% should know how deep I'm in love with the legendary D'banj. He's one of the artists who made my childhood fun, and anytime I come across his songs, both old and new, the love is always massive. Anytime I come across anyone who knows D'banj or loves his music, I automatically become a friend to such a person. That's one of the major things that got me close to @balikis95 ...when she told me that she can sing most of D'banj's songs. Gosh! Even if it's a lie, which I've persuaded her several times to sing, she's too adamant.

D'banj came into the music world in the year 2004, most of us were not born then. Till today, though not as hot as he used to be, he's still waxing strong.
Back then, he was one of the artists who had the best stage performance with his everything; his style of beats, dance, and dance crew as well. Till today, anytime he's called to perform on a stage, he still has that same fire vibe.

Watching the celebration video as he went on to sing, one after the other, his tracks, and I couldn't help but keep shouting and singing along. I just love D'banj!

In the spirit of Three Tunes Tuesday, I would use this opportunity to bring out three of his tracks. I wanted to tag it 'three of my best,' but no, all his tracks are the best tracks to me, and there's no way I can single out just three.
In case you don't know what Three Tunes Tuesday [ #ttt ] is, please kindly read this;

Every Tuesday, I'm going to share three songs that I like to listen to, and I invite your feedback in the comments below. Better still, why not have a blast of your own Three Tune Tuesday and mention me in the post, and I'll come and find the post and upvote it? If you could also use the #threetunetuesday tag, that would be great, as that is what I use when sifting through all the entries every Wednesday. It'll be a sweet way for us all to discover new music. You'll also be in with a chance of winning the prize. By @ablaze.

Mogbono Feli Feli:

The intro sound of this song gives me goosebumps whenever I hear it. It takes me back to the good old days whenever I hear it. The intro is more like an anthem to D'banj, and it's often used for his stage appearance. The lyrics of this track are so good, and I know every bit of it, in case you want me to sing it. Lol.
He called himself Africa's Michael Jackson.

Oliver Twist:

Oliver Twist performance in south Africa

This is one of his major hit tracks. Till today, this track is used as a party song. It's hard for D'banj to go to any performance without hitting on this track. The beat of this track is so unique that it has the capacity to put someone into dancing mode without the attachment of the Lyrics.

Top of the World:

I've listened to all his songs both the ones he was featured in, no one comes so close in terms of coolness. This is the coolest song in terms of the fastness of beats. Not only that, the lyrics weren't rough and centered on women, this song is life talk on his life, Nigeria, and Africa at large.
He dedicated this song to the Nigeria football national team, the Super Eagles when they won the Africa Cup Of Nation in 2013. So sweet!

That's all! Thank you.
