People often say that money can’t solve all life’s problems. That’s very true, but in the era we are in now, money can solve 96% of human problems, and no one can argue that. The absence of money is responsible for most of our life worries, although the more money comes, the more the worries increase.
What amount of money can make me live a worry-free life?
I won’t lie — if I can just be in the shoes of the richest man in Africa with his net worth, I’m very sure financial troubles will be over in my life. Currently, he(Aliko Dangote) has a net worth of 24.7 billion USD, and hey, this is a whole lot of money to me. Although this may appear very little to some people, I’m not dreaming too big; with this amount of money, I can establish companies and keep them running in good positions so they continue producing profits. Currently, 1 billion USD in Nigeria (in naira) is a huge amount of money — ₦1,500,000,000,000 — and this alone can establish a man’s life so that he will never have to struggle again if it is well invested. So imagine having 24 volumes of that kind of money! Oh boy, I would just buy one state in Nigeria, send everyone away, fence it, and use the whole space for agriculture.
What if unforeseen circumstances such as sickness occur — will the money be able to save the situation?
As much as I’m going to focus deeply on investing the money, a good portion of it will be reserved to tackle unforeseen emergencies such as health issues. Most times, we face more critical health challenges when we don’t initially pay attention to the little symptoms or when we wave them off through unprofessional practices. The health of my family will be taken as a high priority.
What about a situation where a crash happens in investments? You know, no matter the amount of money one has, everything can crumble and disappear in the twinkle of an eye. This is where the wisdom of investing in different ventures comes in.
In all these, I will also hope that a problem capable of swallowing all the money doesn’t meet me because the world is funny sometimes.
